Catwoman
No. I would throw it away. Sorry. I wish I could say I would still eat it.
lavender's green
I probably would eat it, but would toss the leftovers after today. ETA I usually have a 3-5 day window for leftovers, depending on various factors. Edited May 15, 2017 by lavender's green
Selkie
No, five days is too old. I would have tossed it after three.

Lawana
I would eat them as long as they were refriderated promptly after original cooking. My window is usually a week. Never gotten sick on leftovers.
Cinder
I would eat them as long as they were refriderated promptly after original cooking. My window is usually a week. Never gotten sick on leftovers. Same here. My fridge stays really cold so I will go up to a week. Dh is much braver and will eat stuff that's been in even longer than a week as long as it still looks and smells ok. goldberry
Nope, three days for meat at my house. (That's the cooking day plus 3 days)
Farrar
That's pushing it. Probably not, especially not if it got reheated at any point. Dh would though.

bibiche
I think the general rule is: if you have to ask "Would you eat this?" the answer is "NO!" ;)
Cindy in FL.
No, I wouldn't. 3 days, tops.
kiana
I might risk it for me but I wouldn't feed it to a kid. (And I'm normally one of the "of course what's wrong with that" people so that should tell you how edgy it is).
1GirlTwinBoys
I tossed it. Just not worth the risk but I was thinking a week on that kind of meat for some reason.
Okra
Gosh, our limit is one week. Never gotten sick. I'm actually surprised to hear that some families toss at three days.

Catwoman
Gosh, our limit is one week. Never gotten sick. I'm actually surprised to hear that some families toss at three days. I think my personal issue is that I have gotten sick, and it's so miserable to be that I'll, so that's why I'm probably overly cautious.
