Jaybee
I've never made it, but I saw this posted on fb today: http://www.confessionsofacookbookqueen.com/mounds-layer-cake/ I'm pretty sure I want to try it!
Annie G
I love a Boston Creme Pie kind of thing. I make a single layer of cake (round) and make a vanilla custard to fill it. Then cover the whole thing with ganache. And chill it until you serve it. Man I love cold cake.

umsami
How about making some ganache.... cooling it.... and then have a make your own truffle type thing? Different toppings and such that they can roll balls of ganache in? This is my dream dessert. I've never made it from scratch, but I hope to some day. https://www.americastestkitchen.com/recipes/7213-chocolate-espresso-dacquoise or maybe this: http://www.patisseriemakesperfect.co.uk/opera-glazed-chocolate-coffee-layer-cake/

Seasider
I just love little petit fours. They are yummy if you use white cake cut into 2" squares and pour over with ganache. Pipe a little rosette on top. They always seem special to me.

Seasider
Fruit fondue-type plate! Thin the ganache enough for dipping and serve it in shot glasses! If it's chocolate ganache I'm gonna want at least a highball glass.
