Ottakee
Are there any great ideas on how to dry swimsuits in a hotel room. Seems like there has to be a better way than trying to hang up suits for 6 people on the shower nozzle.
itsheresomewhere
I bring this folding thingy that looks like an octopus. It has several arms and clips. It has a hook for the shower rod but I also use a hair tie if the rod is too big for the hook. This item folds down and takes up very little room in the suitcase. Jean in Newcastle
Some hotels I've been have had little retractable clotheslines by the shower curtain. If not, you might want to pop a few quarters in the hotel's dryer if they have a self-serve laundry room.
*Lulu*
When I know we are going to be swimming a lot I carry plastic clothes pins to fasten the suits across the towel bar or shower curtain rod. When they aren't bunched up together I find the suits dry quickly.
Sk8ermaiden
Towel bar or curtain rod if the hotel doesn't have one of the retractable clotheslines. You have to look for those, they're easy to miss! If I didn't have any of those things, I'd probably lay them flat on a towel or something.
SebastianCat
Dollar tree carries clothesline for $1 that is long enough to tie across an entire hotel room for a makeshift clothesline. Once I discovered that, I carry it in my suitcase every time we travel now. My kids take one with them to camp and tie it between bunk beds to hang up wet towels and bathing suits, which means less comes home from camp sopping wet. :)
HRAAB
Shower rod, shower nozzle, or the back of a chair. I put mine over the balcony one time, but it blew off.
TammyinTN
I usually take the racks for pants and hang them from that in front of the heat or AC unit overnight.
Stacia
I toss clothespins in the suitcase. Then, it's easy to hang wet suits from the retractable line in the shower (if they have one), from hangars, or clipped to the back of balcony chairs (which often have plastic straps so it's easy to attach clothespins to them). Cinder
We usually just hang them on the hangers in the closet and leave the closet door open. Yes, they drip some but not usually enough to make a mess. You could always roll the suits in towels to press out more of the water.
MarinesWife
We hang them over the shower bar or on towel rods
Camelfeet
Shower rod or towel rods here. I also wound't be beyond draping them over a piece of furniture if I knew that it wouldn't be damaged by the moisture (glass table or metal chairs..) creekland
We try to get them near the AC unit if at all possible. Often we'll use chairs or the luggage stand or tables to hang them from.
Carrie12345
I gave up on hang drying when we began using Staybridge and I discovered their free dryers. <
DawnM
roll it in a towel to get all excess water out. If there is an outside balcony, I hang it outside either on the balcony railing or an outdoor chair. If not, I just find a chair in the hotel room. Something with some air on each side. livetoread
What others said, or use a blow dryer either on low or held a ways away. When my kids were young and in a hurry but balked at putting on a wet, cold suit, I'd at least warm them up with the blow dryer.
Alicia64
Does your hotel have a laundry room? For usually a $1 in quarters, you can get everybody's suit dry in 15 minutes. We also hang on the balcony or over the top of the shower. Alley
