Jann in TX Posted February 15, 2015 Share Posted February 15, 2015 With Christmas, DD's birthday, our anniversary and DH's birthday all within a 6 week period we decided to skip Valentines-- however a good friend told us about another little-known holiday-- February 15th is HALF PRICE CHOCOLATE DAY! This IS a holiday worth celebrating! :party: After Church today we will go to the local Walgreens and CVS to splurg on all sorts of confectionary delights! I'd skip the roses since they always seem have issues because of the forced blooming techniques to get them ready on the 14th, but the mixed bouquets are very nice. DD found her fav-- Dove chocolate in a cool metal heart box for $3 (less than half price!). We also got a few packs of Reses cups to go in our movie night stash. We stopped at the local grocery and they had TONS of half--price chocolate... DH had to pull me away and point me towards the veggies... we did purchase chocolate syrup (but not at half price so that did not count). Half-price Jelly Bean Day is just around the corner! I purchased red bell peppers, baby carrots, brussels sprouts, hummus, cantaloupe, berries, spinach, super food salad, grape tomatoes, heavier weights, new (smaller!) yoga pants, a new (smaller!) running jacket, and detox foot patches. First they start selling smaller sized products for the same amount, then they start messing with Half Price Chocolate Day! What's this world coming to? We don't celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Valentines or Easter, but we sure love to take advantage of the day-after chocolate sales (my dc make sure to remind me :).
