Heather in Neverland
For my family it is grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup!!! I can make the fanciest meal ever but they will always ask about the soup and sandwiches.
Lily_Grace
Beef stew, made with a leftover bottle of red wine and simmered in the oven all day. :)
justamouse
Pasta and lentils. It's a rustic Italian dish, and even though now I can't have it, it's still my have. I should get myself GF pasta and see if I can tolerate that. Chicken and dumplings, too.
merry gardens
chocolate. chocolate. chocolate. I also like soups, stews, meatloaf, mac & cheese and good bread, but those take more time to prepare and are harder to stash for emergency use. Chocolate stashes easily. merry gardens
I responded to the title without reading the post. Now that I've read it, I suggest she consider baked potatoes with various toppings, including perhaps a vegan chili if she likes chili. Stuffed baked potatoes make easy dinners and are a great way to use left overs too.

happypamama
Anything with tomato sauce. I don't know why, but it's instant wonderfulness. So, meatballs and sauce (which I had for lunch today), or pizza (which I'm considering asking DH to pick up on the way home). We need the comfort food today. I'm also thinking of baking a gingerbread cake for everyone.

Jayne J
Corn bread! I never would have even thought! That sounds good all on its own. With butter, I mean. Mmmm..... Fresh, hot cornbread. Cornbread was all I wanted to eat when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I ate pans of the stuff! I ate it with butter, with honey, with marmalade, with chili, with beans, with anything I could think of. I guess it stuck. LOL
