besroma
I have read Mrs. Mungo's signature line hundreds of times. I thought the different color for "apostrophe" was for emphasis. :tongue_smilie: I realized tonight it was a hyperlink and clicked on it. If you haven't clicked on it yet, you need to!
Mrs Mungo
Warning: The Oatmeal is a great grammar resource, but it is not all safe for work/kids.

Wildcat
Well, count me among the ranks of those who thought it was only different for emphasis! :001_huh: What a neat read that was!
Mrs Mungo
I wish he had the apostrophe one available in tear-off sticky pads. I would buy them by the case. Edited August 29, 2012 by Mrs Mungo Crazy iPad
fraidycat
You mean, for once, I wasn't the last to know something? Look out, the sky just may be falling. :D
VA6336
I had no idea, either. Even my husband knows what I mean when proofing his papers and I draw dead kittens!
Parrothead
I found out it is a hyperlink last week. Tonight I actually clicked on it.

MollyAnn
I had no idea, either. Even my husband knows what I mean when proofing his papers and I draw dead kittens! I did not know that it was a link either. Now that I do I am trying to decide if I can put the posters up in the classroom. After reading the semi colon poster I am wondering if I could have used one between either and now. Or if I should have put a comma after Now that I do. Can you all tell that I have been stressing and obsessing about grammar for this year? Soror
I've read it before but a refresher is always good. I *think* I generally follow those rules but I'm sure I mess up here and there!
