I'm still in the planning stages. Usually I'm way ahead on this, but I'm torn about a few things this year. As you can see, many things are a "maybe."

Math: MM 6

History: K12 Human Odyssey book with many extras thrown in

Maybe Mapping the World by Art this year, maybe next

Science: maybe outside class, maybe ES Logic Stage Earth/Space, other

Grammar: maybe GWG 6, maybe switch to Hake for a change

Lit: LL 7, then a number of novels afterward

Writing: probably continue just writing across curriculum

Language: Rosetta Stone Spanish

Maybe throw in Lively Latin this summer and see how it goes?

Philosophy for Kids (maybe) or something along those lines

I'm only just starting to hash this out, so it's very tentative.

Math: Finish AoPs Intro to Algebra and either do AoPS Geometry or Chalkdust Geometry (I already own Chalkdust.)

English: Winterpromise LA 6 - He's a huge Trekkie, so this is perfect for him. I'll beef up the writing a lot.

History: Either Classical House of Learning's Logic stage schedule for ancients or WP's Quest for the Ancient World.

Science: Earth Science, probably the middle school honors text from CK-12. I'll have to buy a lab kit.

Religion: Faith & Life 6, Teen Timeline

PE: He's a short track speedskater, so he'll continue with that.

I don't think he'll continue with Latin.

Hey, I'm down to TWO plans at the moment! LA is still up in the air... we may go with a program like Apologia's Jump In!, but haven't decided yet, so the plans below show my other ideas... I'm kind of going off this schedule for planning purposes...

The Basics

LA: Brave Writer and writing across the curriculum; The Sentence Family alternated with GrammarLand; cursive penmanship* OR calligraphy. Lots of reading.

Math: Math Mammoth (Blue series); LOF Fractions and Decimals & Percents

Science: BFSU topics with the Kingfisher Science Encyclopedia; nature studies; Story of Science vol. 1 and other science-y books

Latin: Getting Started with Latin

Logic: Harry Stottlemeier

Geography: We'll continue reading through Richard Halliburton's books, and similar books

Arts: Music appreciation/composer studies; artist studies and hands-on art projects; piano lessons

Additional: Plan A

Further Up & Further In (Narnia unit study program) with either Our Island Story OR A Little History of the World

Additional: Plan B

Oxford University Press' World in Ancient Times, probably 4-5 volumes

*I love the looks of Queen's handwriting books with all the gorgeous art, but at $12.95 for 12 weeks of handwriting practice, I don't know.
