okiemomof2
Hi everyone, I am new to the forums and I was just wondering how users get the different hive designations that I see under their user name. I looked in the FAQs and I didn't see an explanation. Just curious...

plain jane
It's just related to your post count. Your designation will change after you have your first 10 posts and then at set intervals after that. Welcome to the Hive!!

Yeah, we got some somebodies over 10,000. We will have to keep an eye on Jean and see if there will be more to add to the list. Maybe somewhere close to 15,000. I think I've got that list I made in a Word file somewhere. I should update it. ETA: Nope. I didn't realize it before but Jean is over 15,000 already. Her title didn't change. There may not be any more. Edited February 14, 2011 by Parrothead

okiemomof2
Hi ! I am not originally from Oklahoma; I just ended up going to college here and found me an Okie for a husband and here we are. But we actually took a few years out of Oklahoma; a few years of DH in the Army and a few years in Florida but we keep coming back to here. :001_smile: But my oldest kiddo can say she is an original Okie... Anyhow, nice to meet you !

Peela
You just get addicted to the boards and don't even worry about your designation. I've been on here less time than some in terms of years, but obviously I spend a lot of time chatting rather than doing my work :). The whole bee thing came up on the old boards- before these boards were set up- and it became a bit of an in joke and all these references were made to the hive mind. Ask a question and the hive answers it (I think of the Borg, personally). So when these boards were created, SWB with her wonderful sense of humour, created the whole bee thing. okiemomof2
I think the whole bee thing is delightful. And thanks to everyone's suggestions, now I am not a visitor anymore !
