So, what for dinner this week?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to plan the menu for this week, and the family is bored with our regular selections. Can we play Menu Monday on Sunday? :001_smile:

Hot Chicken Salad, Beef Enchilada Casserole, Crockpot Chicken with Apricots, and Manicotti. One night I'll probably get pizza, and another night we're eating at church.

I actually made a menu plan this week. We will be having tuna noodle casserole (at dh's request), carnitas in the slow cooker, baked split chicken breasts, chicken egg rolls (made with leftover chicken), ropa vieja, and our Maryland state dinner (as we study the states)--Maryland crabcakes.

Soup! The weather is turning cold and it has been very wet (this happens maybe twice a year in this town) so we feel like soup! I am eating green pea soup right at this second. Dh burnt it slightly, but the soup is so good unburned that it is still pretty good with that charcoal flavour

Monday: Fried chicken, insta spuds, can of veggie and a salad--brownies

Tuesday: Pot roast, roasted red potatoes and carrots, bread--pudding pie

Wednesday: Manacotti, bread, salad--ice cream

Thursday: Steak, baked spuds with all the fixins, salad--brownies(my favorite dessert)

Friday: Either out or leftovers if we have any from the rest of the week.

That is what is the plan for dinners, I am at a loss this week for lunches. I started babysitting 2 little ones and trying to find stuff for all 6 to eat is proving a challenge.

Sis, just had pulled pork sannys and sweet potato fries; this is my new favorite meal. Yummy!!

Monday: Chicken with chorizo and rice

Tuesday: Soup and sandwiches

Wednesday: Meatballs and mashed potatoes

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Pizza and movie night

Saturday: Breakfast (pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs) - the kids get to help plan the menu and then get to help make the meals they chose. M loves breakfast for dinner, so he'll be helping make pancakes.

I have to have an easy menu this week so I can clean out my fridge for my tea this weekend, so here's the rundown:

Monday: Chili

Tuesday: Chili dogs

Wednesday: Ham & beans

Thursday: Tuna noodle casserole

Friday: Burritos

Saturday: Frozen pizza

Sunday: Chicken strip wraps

Monday: Black bean taco salad

Keep in mind there are veggies and potentially desserts with each meal; I just list the main dish.
