Joining big brother for:

SOTW 3 and added American history

Lots of library books!

That was the plan last time I posted it anyway, now with a new baby due in January, it may be overly ambitious. I don't know. I'm on official summer break and trying to survive morning sickness and not think about school for a couple weeks.

And yet I've spent most of the morning reading the boards here, so I guess I can't ever really take a break! :tongue_smilie:

Sagira, I looked at the Tanglewood site and I can't seem to "find" these? Are they in the corebook or something?

Thank you!

Yes, they are included in the corebook. Sorry I lost this thread :tongue_smilie:

We took a very easy Kindergarten year, and we're both SO excited for this first grade year (we've already started)! :D

Science

We'll be working on nature studies, plus going through a 1st grade public school textbook (with his other big sister going over these lessons).

We are also participating in an Apologia Botany co-op this year, which he will be a part of.

Spelling

We might jump into the 2nd half of the Ordinary Parent's Guide for Reading or Phonics Pathways and we're also going through Abeka's Reading Handbook.
