  1. Some things I have seen and have tried are. Taking the regular dog dish (only works if the bowl is low and shallow) and turning it upside down and putting the food in that way. Also placing the food on a baking sheet (cookie pan) spreads the food out so they can't take mouthfuls all at once.
  2. I have asthma. for me, inhalers just do not work as well as the nebulizer. If I start going down with my peak flow, I just drag out the nebulizer, works like a charm. Maybe you could try using the neb a bit more instead of using the rescue inhaler so much? It's hard to time those inhalers just right so that you get the meds in the right way esp. with children.
  3. Hmmm strange, well the suggestion of burning them to a disc and then ripping the disc into itunes should def. fix the problem, a bit more work, but that should work also. Sorry read what you said again and realized I got it wrong. Those files are also MP3? I looked at PHP's website and it says their files are tested with itunes, and ipad and ipod. When you use the import option do they not show up to import, or do you import and it does nothing?
  4. The automatic sync only works for items purchased from the itunes store. If you purchased the files directly from PHP and import them, they won't sync automatically, you will have to do a regular manual sync. You could try opening the links on the browser on the ipad and see if they would download that way, but I don't think that will work. You need to import them into itunes, and then sync them with your ipad. I suggest importing them, and then making them into a playlist. Then just plug in your ipad, select sync, go under Music (all audio goes under music) and then making sure the playlist you made is checked and then sync. That should do it for you.
  5. Did you actually import them into itunes or just play them via itunes? Make sure that you go under file, then add files or folders and then find the files and actually import them into itunes. This will make itunes convert the files to a file that your ipad can open and read. Also when you sync your ipad, under the Music heading, do you have it set to "add all to device" or do you have it set to "add selected songs to ipad" if you have it under selected songs, you need to make sure you then select the audio files there also. What format did they download as? MP3?
  6. For me what helped was: Peppermints to suck on, and popsicles, and eating crackers first thing in the morning.
  7. Another Dexter fan here. Sadly, we don't get showtime so we are waiting for the current season to hit DVD. I love the books too and have read them all.
  8. Also, if you don't feel like frying bacon, you can always bake it in the oven. Really easy to do.
  9. I have an external hard drive, but I also just got a Personal cloud: http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=280 It's really nice because it's part of our network and all our computers can add files to it, access files on it and I can also access my files and pictures from my iphone and my ipad. It can be set to auto upload backups also. So far we love it and it was totally worth the price. Also very simple to install and use.
  10. With amtrack's website you have to make sure you are looking at the price for round trip. It quotes one way at a time, for us it was actually way more expensive to take the train than it was to fly.
  11. You can get most of the classics for free on http://www.gutenberg.org/ also. they have all the books that are now public domain books.
  12. I play: Everquest II EvE Online The Sims 3 Skyrim Sometimes Play: Lego Universe Free Realms
  13. I know exactly how you feel. Mine gets stuck on a subject and it's all we hear about for weeks. Every hour on the hour, he googles it, he reads about it in a book, he colors pictures of it. We have been stuck on trains since about oh say 2 years old and he is now 10. He varies but always comes back to trains.
  14. We have autism here also. We learned to just stay home for the holidays, makes everything easier. My daughter told us what she was sure was in each box before we unwrapped them and she was mostly right, but at least she loved all her stuff. My son only wanted a train set and has been using it and telling us all about it all.....day......long...... I am tired of trains. LOL
  15. Have you asked your doctor if you can take it at bedtime if it makes you sleepy?
  16. I made something similar. I added: Favorite Dinner meal of his choice 2 hours home alone to play computer His pick for movie night 1 date night with Me, to the movies 1 date night with Me, to the Book store. :)
  17. In the settings on the iphone and ipod touch you can go under wireless and click to turn it off thus not allowing any internet on the phone. It will turn off the net as long as your old iphone does not still have a data plan.
  18. Another fun train set is the Geotrax by fisher price. They are big and sturdy and even make noises. My two loved them.
  19. My mom is over 50 years old and is still a mooch off her mother. If you don't cut them off, it's never ending. They will never change, you have to want to change before you can change. And if your sister does not want to change, she won't. I had to stop inviting my sister and her family places for the same reasons. I was sick of footing the bill. Sadly, the only way to stop it is to be firm and just not open your wallet....ever.
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360411321151&hlp=false#ht_755wt_1163 This guy is selling one on Ebay with instructions, I have had luck in the past with asking a seller if they would be willing to make a copy of the instructions for me or upload them as a pdf. I did this for a bread machine and the seller sent me a copy of the instructions, all I had to pay was postage. It's worth a try maybe?
  21. With IoS 10 on the touch you can use imessage to send text messages to your friends phones. You have to be on wifi for it to work.
