  1. I hope your doggie is feeling better. We had a foster dog who acted like this after she had a seizure. Please take your baby to the vet.
  2. I have sleep apnea and shortness of breathe has never been one of my symptoms. I had the generally tired all the time symptoms and being able to sleep at any time any place problems, but no shortness of breathe. My CPAP took longer to help me feel better, but I have other sleep problems that make feeling totally better harder (idiopatic hypersomnia), but CPAP did help and I still use my machine every night when sleeping.
  3. I have this one and this one and I love them both. They plug into the headphone jack so you don't lose them. The pink one is short for the iphone and the orange one is long like a regular pencil.
  4. Haha, I am so glad to hear I am not the only one who calls her iphone that name.
  5. Good luck on your search. I know when I was looking there was alot of info out there on google due to this being a common problem in certain breeds. There were some really good foods they recommended, but they were expensive. Since you are checking into blue I thought I would add we feed ours the blue Wilderness variety. Our little guy is a year out from his surgery (his bladder was really full of these stones also) and on his recent xray's, he is still totally clear, so far so good. We were also told to make sure he gets plenty to drink to help lower ph in his urine also.
  6. If they are talking about cord entanglement they are probably Mo-Mo twins like somebody else said. With that tyep they do take early due to potential problems with the cords.
  7. I have the ipad 2 and it allows you to hook up a bluetooth keyboard to it to type those longer messages. I use my ipad much more than my laptop and netbook now especially with my bluetooth apple keyboard. If I had the choice I would get the ipad, it allows you to download both the kindle and nook app so you can buy books from anywhere, plus it's ease of use is stellar and it really is like a mini pc. I use this stand and it's perfect. http://store.apple.com/us/product/H6353ZM/A?fnode=MjA1MTEyODY When you are not using the keyboard the stand folds around it for storage.
  8. Gift Cards to local places to order food so she does not have to cook on chemo days. Gift basket for a in home movie night Gift cards for gas
  9. I have these in both stainless steel and plastic and love them. http://www.outdoorproducts.com/Products/stainless-steel-sports-bottle/64 They are wide enough for ice cubes, have a pop up straw and are easy to clean. We use a pipe cleaner on the straw part and they are cheap. We got ours for like 5$ at walmart. Here is the plastic version: http://www.outdoorproducts.com/Products/750ml-tritanr-flip-top-water-bottle/149 Oh and they do fit in the cup holders on my dodge caravan.
  10. We found a table lamp that takes a normal night light bulb at walmart. It's perfect and sits on a table. It's similar to this one on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Dragonfly-Night-Ibis-Orchid-design/dp/B001TJHAFY/ref=sr_1_7?s=lamps-light&ie=UTF8&qid=1328073012&sr=1-7 However, we opted for a smaller bulb just a 4w one instead of the 15w one.
  11. Our dog had stones removed last year. I was also not comfy with the food the doctor recommended due to all the fillers in it (corn) as we have a dog with severe allergies. I feed ours Blue Buffalo and after a year a recent xray showed no stones at all in his bladder, so far so good. I did some googling and found some recommendations for other foods that were high quality no filler foods that were ok for stones.
  12. I recommend Ayreon's The Human Equation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Human_Equation. Also some of my favorites are: Savage Garden Darren Hayes Celtic Woman Celtic Thunder Mika Roger O'Donnell--his is all just instrumental Sarah Mullen--Harpist Adele The Cure The Book of Mormon soundtrack is good Cats--the musical is always a good one Forgot to say if you want any song suggestions just let me know.
  13. I have purchased from this site before with good results. http://store.schoolspecialty.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?minisite=10021
  14. :grouphug: My kids don't have RAD, but they do have some severe issues with similar issues to what you described, I hate putting up drywall :( Just wanted to give you a hug and let you know that you are not alone, sadly so many don't understand and it's a very lonely place as a parent to be.
  15. I have this which is a personal cloud, and I love it. It can be networked so everybody on your network can use it and you can also access it from the app for your cell phone or ipad.
  16. The only problem I can forsee is moving the External from your PC to your Mac. My mom was trying to show me some pictures from her external hard drive that was formatted on her mac, and my pc would not read it, even with the proper drivers. Not sure if they are all like this, but you might have to get one for your PC and one for your Mac.
  17. My Cocker spaniels lift their leg when they are staring at something or are really interested in something.
  18. Forgot to say, that for alot of people the changes are actually gonna open up more services, as instead of doctors/insurances/schools saying well you don't have the right type of autism to get services, the kids will either have autism or won't, thus opening up services that some get denied right now, like in the case of some aspergers kids or PDDNOS kids. So as far as the article goes, I know alot of parents/doctors/schools prefer the new definition they are trying to get in the DSM-V to the current ones.
  19. Right now my two are diagnosed as PDD-NOS and actually with the new criteria we fit the definition better than we do right now. So for us, the changes seem to make more sense, than the current definitions.
  20. Also wanted to mention, when mine first started the med, I noticed that they would get sleepy and kindof pale. It freaked me out, but the doctor said it was normal and it went away in a few days.
  21. My kids take the short acting version of this med and for us it does help them sleep. It seems to help them slow down a bit. The short acting version is Tenex, and this med is not a stimulant, it's actually a non stim, it was the first medication we actually tried for ADHD for ours, it's actually a blood pressure medication but they found out it works awesome for ADHD. Anyhow, it does help mine sleep so hopefully it will help your guy also.
  22. We have this top loading washer and love, love, love it. It is a HE washer just like the front loaders, but opens at the top. It has all the cycles including the sanitary one, and one to clean the washer. We have had no trouble out of it and we got it last Feb 2011. We do at least one load of laundry a day and it gets them really dry so they don't take that much time in the dyer. Forgot to add, it's a Whirlpool Cabrio, with the solid lid.
  23. I don't have much advice, but wanted to let you know I too suffer with this. Colds with coughing are the worst. Having to buy pee pads at 31 is a bit embarrassing but my doctor said mine is not bad enough to really do anything about yet. :(
