And it's free! Wunderlist is an app that lets you create lists, and to-do items within each list, and sort them all kinds of ways. It auto-syncs via the cloud across your devices -- pcs, mac, ipads, kindle, android, iphone -- so you can use whatever's handy and it's up-to-date everywhere. You can also share lists with other people. Items can have priorities and/or dates if you want. You can rearrange the order of a list by simple drag-and-drop. You can view your items by priority, by date, by list . . . Took me 3 minutes to learn to use it. So I'm thinking . . . a list for each subject, with to-do items within that subject list, shared with the proper kiddo -- finally a schedule I can have with me, share, don't have to print out . . . :hurray:

Does anyone use this app as a way to filter content on an Ipod Touch? If it does a good job, I'd like dd to have it on her ipod.

We got our littles, ages 4,6 & 8, 8gb iPod touches for Christmas. I would like to load some fun games from the app store. The games do not need to be educational and I don't mind paying for the games. What are your favorites for those ages? :bigear:

Well. I just did it today. I finally bought an iPod touch! So, now...ahem. What are your favorite educational app suggestions? There seem to be a glut of them out there, but which ones are actually worth the time and $$. Effective and fun suggestions needed!

I've read nearly every app thread here and spent way too much time browsing the app store. I'm looking for a household checklist app that isn't tied to time slots or a calendar, allows you to move tasks around after they've been created, and possibly has sub-tasks for some things on the checklist (like cleaning chores). I also need a place to leave indefinite to-do notes, like people to call or appointments to make. Does this even exist? I have sick and tired kids who are making my brain foggy, and I'm having issues comprehending all these app descriptions. Thanks!

that I just discovered recently since buying our new iPad. These apps are free, except ArtPuzzle, which is a bargain for $1.99 -- & my big splurge is Sketchbook Pro at $7.99. My older dc use that app a lot but the little girls enjoy it also. I also wrote about this in my blog. I'd love to hear what others are finding out there. My little girls wake up early and do flashcards for 'fun' so I can't complain.:001_smile: Pandora Radio: I set about 10 classic music stations based on my fave composers. I play the music in the house and in the car. ArtPuzzle HD: Classic paintings by famous artists. The girls study the picture and then press the screen to scramble the picture. They spend the next 5 - 10 minutes rearranging the pieces to put the picture back together. Beautiful iPad app. FlashToPass: Math facts flashcards. The girls love this. Stanza: Free audio books. Right now they're listening to Aesop's Fables in bed. Planets: Shows the earth in 'real' time. Gorgeous visual of our planet. It does a lot that I haven't even looked into yet. USA Presidents: Flashcards, pictures, info ABC Phonics: Different activities with letter sounds, words & sentences Sketchbook Pro: Doodling, drawing, etc. Netflix: I watched Taming Of The Shrew this weekend. Gorgeous color. The girls watched Liberty Kids. So many great movies to choose from. My next splurge will be Art Authority for $9.99.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an app that teaches addition facts? We will be out of the house tomorrow morning and I was hoping to find a good app that DD#2 could use while in the car. She just started SM-PM 1A and is learning her facts within 10. I went to the App Store & was overwhelmed by the choices! Hopefully someone here will have a good suggestion! Thanks!

I got an I pod touch for Christmas and have been looking at the applications. What do you recomend that a 6 yr old boy could use (educational). He can read so I'm not sure about the phonics ones as they may be a little easy. Are there any good spelling or math ones? Stephanie

Has anyone successfully created and used flashcards on the iPod? What did you use to create them? I'm looking for the easiest way to put our Latin & French vocab onto flashcards on the iPod to see if that's easier than making paper cards. Thanks for any suggestions! yvonne

I have a new iPhone and am looking for some help. I've already searched the boards and gotten some good suggestions on fun/useful apps to add. :) If I want some general help on how to use the phone and its features, where should I go? Is there a good website or book? Also, my battery gets low very quickly. I have my screen turned down to a pretty low brightness. And I don't use much talk time. Is this normal? The battery is about 2/3 gone by evening. I'm worried that if I ever forget to plug it in overnight, I won't be able to use it the next day. One more question. Is there an app for this: I have a list of doctors & medical information (last immunization dates, etc.) that I'd like to put on the phone. I guess I could list all of the doctors, dentists, etc. in my normal contacts, but I sort of wanted them segregated. And I still need a place for the other info. Have you seen anything like this? I searched the app store but didn't come up with anything. Thanks!

My amazing brother gave me an ITouch for my 40th birthday, and I would really like some suggestions for fun apps to put on it. I don't play games, although I am not totally opposed to having a few on it. I don't have a GPS or camera on it, and have no idea where to start when looking at the bazillion apps out there. One thing I would love is a good application where I can read (or listen to) the Bible (preferably both OT and NT) on it, if there is such a thing. Anyone have recommendations? Thank you!

My DH bought me a new iphone for my birthday (abeit a little early). I was curious, of those that have this gadget, what iphone apps do you use on it for homeschooling. My kids are 6 and 7, decent readers and okay in math, love history and science. I havent even looked at the iphone store (or whatever it is called). During downtimes waiting for one or the other sibling I know my kids will want to play on it. Is there an app that your kids love (that might not just be a time user but something they might learn from). I am curious if there is an app you have been looking for but it isnt available. I get mine in a week or so and know all the hive minds will have great suggestions.
