  1. DD13 may or may not attend b&m for 9th in September, so we've covered or reviewed the basics of biology, chemistry, physics, and some A&P. She's reading and exploring Botany on her own. I agree with redsqiurrel about the math formulas! When dd was in ps briefly in 7th grade, the formulas were quite a shock to her!
  2. If you dare your sister to fill a hat with gravel and put it on her head, you too, will be required to clean it off the deck when it spills. Saying, "But I didn't spill it!" will make dad raise his voice and assign extra cleaning chores.
  3. My twin girls are fraternal and look very different, so people frequently think DS is twins with Twin A, and dd13 is twins with Twin B, because they look more like their other siblings rather than each other. They're very happy to not look alike.
  4. I just looked at it in the kitchen, it has this on the front: Professional Series 300.
  5. Yes, it's worth it! We went through at least 5 or 6 blenders before we got our Vitamix.
  6. I'm not 11-15 either, but I enjoyed reading it and want to know what happens next!
  7. Yes, please follow up with an appointment! Check her blood glucose with your mom's meter if you can. Not trying to increase your worries, but DD had very frequent urination and extreme thirst before she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes two years ago. :grouphug: I hope it's nothing major, or perhaps a lab error...
  8. Soaking in hot water for a while always works for me. Just rub with a sponge like you would any other dish, and the wax comes right off.
  9. DD13 started Thinkwell Algebra 1 this month and is almost done with the first chapter. We watch the videos together and we both really enjoy them. The instructor is energetic and fun! There's a 9 question assessment at the end of each section (after about 4 videos) plus extra practice you can print out.
  10. :bigear: I have this book on my shelf next to a dozen other writing resources - wondering the same thing...
  11. Yes, this is what I was going to suggest. I wash everything labeled "Dry Clean," but I Dryel clothes labeled "Dry Clean Only." I never use a standard dry-cleaner.
  12. Congratulations on feeling good and having lots of energy! :) However, 500-1110 calories per day for 10 days is a starvation diet.
  13. I've given antibiotics this close (within 6-8 hrs) when I've filled the script later in the day.
  14. At our house, at the first sign of moodiness during school, dc is immediately given 2 egg whites. I start each day by boiling at least 6 eggs, depending on what work we have to get done. :)
  15. Longest Stare out the Window Between Math Problems. Longest Stare out the Window Right in the Middle of a Math Problem. Longest Stare out the Window While "Thinking" of a Math Problem. .......DD13 wins them all....Congratulations!!!!
  16. I would definitely tell my dad if my 13 year old sister did this, and I wouldn't think twice about it.
