  1. We were supposed to host the dinner, then my youngest got really sick. So, my husband hauled everything to one of his brothers' home and the boy and I stayed home. He was super upset about missing time with his cousins and kept saying, "I'm not sick, mommy!" :( Everyone had a great time though and even brought us leftovers.
  2. If my kids are OK with this, I would.
  3. Thank you! :hurray: I really like the new features.
  4. Costco has one on sale for $30, little sauce warmer included.
  5. Finished "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed. Blew me away... Great writing, but I wish she weren't so fond of F-word... Started "Inkheart" by Cornelia Funke.
  6. I tried once and it made me high as kite. Sure, it's relaxing but not if you're taking care of 2 small children. My SIL is still quoting things I said during that day. :tongue_smilie:
  7. We had a couple of IKEA dressers with a see-through panels in front of the drawers. They fell apart after a couple of years. Same with Target ones. :glare:
  8. No misses yet. We're very happy so far with CLE Math and Teaching Textbooks. SOTW is great as usual and RSO Life science is a lot of fun. I'm slowly implementing methods from The Writer's Jungle and both my oldest and I are enjoying it tremendously. :001_smile:
  9. Well, if we're going all Mediterranean, I'll bring some chicken Shawarma. I found this great book and their Shawarma recipe is very close to the real thing. It's triple digits here, again. :glare: I'm sick of Summer. My only goal right now is to stay sane. :tongue_smilie:
  10. Yep. Done that on Monday. I can still feel every muscle in my body.
  11. I choose one day to do the big chunk of planning and either trade babysitting with another homeschooling mom, family members or hire a babysitter for the whole day. The rest gets done in the evenings.
  12. Marble run, animal figurines and dress up are a big hit for my almost 3 year old.
