How long was your engagement?
Lacie replied to Night Elf's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Ours was about the same. We met in march, were engaged in may, and married in August. -
We would take it to the local dump and pay per bag to leave it. Or put it in our friends large dumpster with their permission.

s/o Church service thread; What is your sermon like?
Lacie replied to a topic in General Education Discussion Board
We meet at 10 am for bible class - divided into small classes by age/grade. At 11 am morning worship starts, it goes until 12:15 or so. There is not a set stopping time. There are announcements, scripture reading, songs, prayers, communion, contribution, and a sermon. The sermon is anywhere from 20-45 minutes, depending on how much the speaker has to say that day. We return at 6 pm for evening worship, same things happen but the sermon is on a different topic. Communion is offered for those who missed morning worship. On Wednesday nights at 7 pm we have a bible class. It last about 45 minutes, divided classes. Then we all come together for singing and a. Short devotional, 5-20 minutes. During the school year the ladies meet on Wednesday at 10 am for a bible class. Once a month, the men have a breakfast and bible study, they asks have a monthly men's leadership class. -

Head lice exposure HELP?
Lacie replied to Jennifer in MI's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Put some tee tree oil in shampoo and wash everyone. The tee tree oil is supposed to kill lice, it works as a preventative too. -
My vote is bazinga, that would be awesome.

Do any of your kids like to give massages?
Lacie replied to Denisemomof4's topic in General Education Discussion Board
My almost 7 year old like to give neck rubs. I think he want to make the other person feel good, rather than a need to touch. -

In my experiences, most people left before the casket was lowered. But close family stayed behind until all the dirt was covered. We would watch them lower it, throw on dirt or flowers if wanted. Then they finish putting dirt in the grave. Usually some of those who left early prepared a meal for the family to have after they were done.

to me a soft taco is a small tortilla usually flour but it can be corn, a burrito is a large flour tortilla that can be wrapped where the ends tuck in.

I'm so sorry. That sounds like a very uncomfortable dinner. As a parent of a child with food allergies I would appreciate someone going to the effort of ensuring that my child had safe food to eat. :grouphug: for you and a :chillpill: for your guests.

Seasonal clothing switch out today.....
Lacie replied to CalicoKat's topic in General Education Discussion Board
"He's wearing my shirt, it's my favorite." In a whiny voice along with some foot stomping. We get that here. It can be hard to stop. Anything that is too big of a favorite goes into the pile to become a square in his quilt (when I actually have the time to make a quilt.)
