  1. Doubled this recipe and it filled my 7qt crockpot. I am not sure how many servings it made, because I made it for a potluck. http://www.cinnamonspiceandeverythingnice.com/jalapeno-popper-chicken-chili-soup-with-bacon/#U8ZokvoUZbsjJuGf.32
  2. I made this for a potluck recently and it was awesome. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. I removed all the seeds and white insides of all the jalapeños. I will definitely be making this soup again. http://www.cinnamonspiceandeverythingnice.com/jalapeno-popper-chicken-chili-soup-with-bacon/#U8ZokvoUZbsjJuGf.32
  3. I love her dress and necklace. She looks beautiful.
  4. To move it to another page by the edge, you need to find the middle of the edge. :-p Does that make any sense? Lol I've never thought of using the bottom to hold the app while moving pages. I learn something new everyday.
  5. Yup, with Hispanics genetics is fun. My mom's family is from South America and her siblings (8) all had blue or green eyes. My sister and I have brown eyes from my dad. My cousins are blonde, brunette and redheads.
  6. I would just stay home and rest. I hope you feel better soon.
  7. I also think the prevalence of the problem is adding to it. Young people are getting used to seeing horrible grammar and can no longer recognize mistakes. Between texting and Facebook, and not reading real books good grammar and spelling is disappearing.
  8. Yes, there is one at a park we go to sometimes. I looked at the map and found one made to look like the Tardis. I need to remember to check it out sometime. :-) http://www.flickr.com/photos/68010601@N03/10434152466/in/photostream/
  9. I use a recipe I found online a few years ago. 6tbsp coconut oil 1/4 cup baking soda 1/4 cup cornstarch 10 drops of essential oils (I use a blend of lavender and tea tree oil) If it is too irritating try it with less baking soda.
  10. I didn't do that one, but I did use their coupons back in August, maybe? It look forever to come, but I did get all my rebates. I think it was about 8 weeks.
  11. In addition to many of the uses already mentioned, I also use it to make deodorant.
  12. Depends on my mood, time available and who is going to see me that day. I usually do full face makeup 2-3 times a week. I like wearing makeup, but I don't feel like I have to wear it everyday.
  13. You should double check this, but I know a few years ago, you could get a roll of film developed and only pay for the pictures that come out. For example if they are too dark to see anything or a big blur you can take them out of the envelope and only pay for the ones you take home.
  14. If he uses an iPad a lot, he might like the Faith Comes by Hearing app called Bible.is. It has several different versions to choose from and is free.
  15. Wow, they even sell Peacehill poop! :-)
  16. Thank you, Cee. Yes I am hoping he will enjoy the cuteness of the games. I think they might be fun enough that he will give it a try. He tends to like more hands on stuff and art so I think the activity pages might be fun.
  17. Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I know my son is smart but sometimes I do feel like I have failed him. I will share the story of Edison with him. He has heard about him and learned about his inventions, but I don't think we have learned about his struggles early in school. After looking at the AAR sample I think I will go with that one and maybe give spelling a break for now. He has come to hate dictation that I used with SWR. Thanks again, Merry.
  18. My son is 9 years old and has been struggling to learn how to read for several years now. He has dyslexia. I have used SWR and Phonics Pathways with him. He can read short vowel sounds and simple consonant blends. He now hates reading and fights me to do reading lessons. I think I have been using the some old curriculums for too long with out moving forward and now we need a change. I was thinking about using All about spelling with him. I think the hands on and new books might be fun for him. I can't decide if we need to do both AAR and AAS. I am leaning more towards just using AAS because it is very similar to SWR. I need to get this boy reading. Has given up learning how to read and depends on his big brother to read everything for him. Also, do I need to start on level one with both programs? Thanks for any insight.
  19. Tales of a fourth grade nothing and the Fudge books are perfect at that age too. My boys loved them.
