  1. I haven't used it, but I have heard it's good. http://ourpact.com/best-parental-control-software-ios/
  2. Have you been sick latlely? Maybe you have an ear infection. I would go see a doctor.
  3. I agree with the other pp, use a thick oil, comb out with a good metal comb (the Terminator from Amazon) and use a flat iron if you can. The flat iron will kill the adults and nits.
  4. Thank you everybody, I will have her look into all these options. She was so sad for her daughter the other day, but it makes her feel better, having some way to help her improve.
  5. My family fears "healthy" recipes. Lol Especially anything with "hidden" ingredients. For example, black bean brownies, garbanzo bean flour chocolate chip cookies or beet cake. I have to say the garbanzo bean flour chocolate chip cookie cake is actually really good.
  6. My sister's 4yo dd has a speech impediment that did not qualify for speech therapy, but according to my sister she is not understandable most of the time. She tends to drop the beginning sounds of words and has a hard time pronouncing many sounds. The dropping of the first sounds is what makes her very hard to understand. Sometimes my sister can figure out what dd is saying, but lots of times she just gives up and says never mind. :-( This just breaks my heart. My sister really doesn't want dd to give up and stop talking, but it so difficult to understand her. She had testing done at the local school and the lady at first said that she would qualify, but today my sister got the official results and she did not qualify for speech therapy. Does anyone have any ideas of exercises she could do at home with her dd? Websites or even curriculum? Thanks!
  7. Where did you buy it? Thanks for sharing your great find!
  8. I have had my set for a year and I love mine. No problems and work great.
  9. With a cleaner on there (I use vinegar and Dawn) I sprinkle borax and washing soda and scrub with a cloth ( on the smooth walls) or a scrub brush ( for the bumpy floors). This has not failed me yet. Ideally it should be done every week , so you won't have to scrub much, but yeah, I'm kinda sporadic in cleaning the tubs. Good luck!
  10. I bought these recently and I really like the style. They have enough coverage, but still let you see what you are doing. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0067HFRV2/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1434851081&sr=1&keywords=Oven+mitts
  11. My dh bought one recently. He likes it. He can't wear his ring at work due to safety reasons and he finds it uncomfortable to wear when working out, so a silicone ring was a perfect answer.
  12. The Danish dough whisk is one of my favorite tools. It's great for hand mixing bread dough or thicker cookie dough. I also love my cookie scoops in different sizes. http://smile.amazon.com/Danish-Dough-Hand-Whisk-Mixer/dp/B002U85906/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1434408572&sr=8-8&keywords=Bread+mixer
  13. Mexican brownies are delicious, just add cinnamon. Also the ones with mint frosting are really good too. Yum, I love brownies. I would think they would freeze fine, but I haven't tried it. My brownies always disappear too fast. Lol.
  14. We have restricted access to the Internet on our boys' iPhones. They have no cell service, except for phone and texting. They only have our phone numbers on there and don't call or text other numbers. They use the phones for games and for calling us when we leave them home alone or get separated. They have also been warned about taking it out and playing on it when out or in groups. I don't want them to be on their phones instead of talking to other people. So no, they don't have unlimited access to the Internet, even if they have their own phones, which were hand-me-downs.
  15. I made one. I love it. It holds my iPhone, keys and ID. It cost me $5 in fabric and maybe one hour of sewing. I am not a seamstress, but this was easy to make. http://thecraftingchicks.com/2014/02/diy-running-belt.html
  16. I have seen the- fill balloons with baking soda and vinegar and you don't need helium for your next party- too many times. I finally had to comment and say no. I felt bad because she is a nice acquaintance, but I could not stand the thought of this spreading again without saying something. Thanks, I had to get that off my chest. :-)
  17. You did nothing wrong. I have had the same experience as you did. I vote for using those hooks that push into the wall and just fill the holes when you leave. I will see if I can find a picture of them. I have seen then in lots of different stores. HTH
  18. Yup, we have not had to wipe and reinstall everything since getting Mac's. My dh's laptop is four years old and runs great and has never crashed or had issues. My dh used to spend hours fixing our computers at least twice a year and he know what he's doing and it was still so frustrating. I love Mac's. I am on my second iPad and I still love it.
  19. My boys were just trying this the other day. They declared it impossible. Lol, they would be very impressed. I can pick up small objects with my feet. It amuses dh to no end. I also have the special vision thing of finding and seeing objects in plain view.
