  1. They got mad because I used both their names and didn't pretend they were married. I think I used separate lines. They were in their 40s and had been living together for a while. I guess it was offensive to use the separate names as it pointed out that they were not married. It wasn't a big deal to me as I had a small number of people I could invite and it opened up two more spaces for my friends. Lol
  2. I would do it like that or on one line if it fits. I did that on my wedding invitations and my uncle and his then girlfriend were so offended, they didn't come to the wedding.
  3. We used Beacon plumbing recently. They were great. They even have a $50.00 coupon online you can use if you mention it.
  4. My mom used to count very fast in an effort to reign in her temper. When she started counting like that, my sister and I knew it was time to stop talking or arguing and scatter if possible. Lol I like to talk to myself when performing complicated tasks, but I try not to do it when I am not alone. I say whatever works for you, you should do. :-)
  5. Hugs. I hope your dd is ok and you have a boring rest of the day.
  6. Barkeepers friend will take care of the rust. http://www.barkeepersfriend.comYou can find it at Walmart or some grocery stores. Just sprinkle the powder on and scrub it with a little water. Dawn mixed with vinegar 50/50 will take care of the soap scum. Don't use it in a spray bottle, it smells horrible. Just wipe it on and leave it on for 4hours or so. Then it should come off with water and gentle scrubbing. Good luck. :-)
  7. Plain baking soda. It absorbs odors. It does clog up the filter in the vacuum a little but it washes out easily.
  8. I do add vanilla extract or sometimes almond extract and sugar before mixing in the starter. Milovany, thanks for your tips. I am going to try them. My yogurt comes out thick but I do add powdered milk. We love homemade yogurt here.
  9. I would make no bake cookies with the oatmeal. Yum. And I would save the potato flakes to use in bread or even soup.
  10. This just happened to us this week. My dh ordered some books last week. They were marked delivered on Tuesday. We didn't call until today and got the company to send a new order. 15 min later my ds went outside to play and found the package on our doorstep. We called and canceled the new shipment. I'm not sure why it was marked delivered early.
  11. I bought my dh a Trayvax wallet for Christmas. He loves it. It is slim, easy to access all his cards and seems really durable.
  12. I used to love Clinique's makeup remover. It doesn't sting and removes everything. I now use a castor/olive oil blend now. It also removes everything and leaves my face clean and soft.
  13. You could mix the dough and let it rise in your fridge overnight. Tomorrow just let it come to room temp about 30 mins before shaping them. HTH
  14. I have heard you could use egg whites. I have not tried it, so I don't know how hard it is to wash out.
  15. Sorry about your divorce. My mom kept her married name after only 7 years of marriage. She said she wanted to stay the same as me and my sister and also because her citizenship was under her married name and it would cause a bigger headache to try and change that. She is kinda annoyed at be the only one left with my dad's name (my sister and I are married and both of us changed our last names) but I think at this point she is used to it. I think you should keep the name that feels the most like you.
  16. I would love to be a surgeon, if it didn't take 10 billion years of school and left no time for family. I've always been fascinated but anatomy. I used to love watching surgeries on TLC. Or I would love to be a beach bum. I love laying in the sand just watching the waves go in and out. I could just live on the shoreline.
  17. I've had the same symptoms, my doctor said it could be Meniere's disease. He said there was no test for it, so its hard to know for sure.
  18. Is the cookbook on Amazon? I love Greek food.
  19. My son has worn glasses since he was 9months old. At first he wore glasses that had the wrap around the ear things (very expensive.) Then we used sunglasses holders to tie them to his head. He really needs them to see, so he never takes them off. Now that he is a little bigger and likes to wrestle with other boys, I ask him to hand me his glasses to keep them save. I think the main thing is to make sure the glasses do not come off or are stored safely. A four year old boy will have no concept of setting them down in a safe place.
