  1. Delia Olympia Althea Aphrodite Astra Athene Enid Juno Dahpne Lakshmi Luna Lyssa Tanith Vesta Ziva Hermione Oh, and I like the names Dolly and Lolly-pop for sheep  .
  2. Snort! I guess I really am clueless this morning; but of course I know who she is then...until she does change her name. Thank you!
  3. OP...I'm lost and have no idea who you are or who you were.
  4. :crying: Reporting, just doesn't mean what it used to. :scared: I know the board is public, but that makes me feel a little anxious.
  5. It sounds like a creative project; let us know how it turns out.
  6. Op...Would it hurt your mom's feeling if you didn't keep it? Speaking for myself, I would feel awful if I gave a gift and it was only used or worn to make me happy.
  7. :grouphug: (((Amy))) prayers for your sister, her ds and you. :grouphug:
  8. No one wears them here, because they would simply freeze to death. Honestly, I'm not going for any fashion that has puffer or puffy in the title; I just don't need extra bulk around the middle. And...I think you are sweet to try to wear it, but if it isn't your color or style...I'd say donate it or do some messy job in it, like changing the oil and let it die a natural disaster death.
  9. OhE, I hope you're on the mend. My sister had it and it took quite a while until her energy came back.
  10. You might want to discuss the dose with your doctor. My concern would be levels so high vs. the possibility of your risk factors increasing. Sorry if this was mentioned; I didn't read the entire thread.
  11. I hear you, but, we got lucky with a little planning. (We have a small patch of woods behind our house with plenty of wildlife; so I totally know what you mean.) We pre froze the little guy in a container, shoveled a spot, then covered him with dirt, mulch and then snow before we put him out in his little spot the flower bed. The weather was so bad no one disturbed Goldie's resting place. OP...I'm sorry and understand how waiting and knowing a child's beloved pet is going to go is so hard to watch.
  12. You could purchase some dirt and give him a no dig burial somewhere in the yard. We had to do this with a fish one year due to a super frozen ground.
  13. I would wear the dress again and not worry about anyone recognizing it as one you wore two years ago. Now of course if find one you love and have to have it, I'm all for a new dress. Finding a great fitting dress is a lot of work and you deserve to wear it more than once.
  14. That stinks. However, I think it could have been handled with a lot more kindness. I don't have time for you, is pretty harsh.
  15. What kind of social clues are you sending, that she is missing?
  16. I've been thinking about this today... I've come to understand or believe that young children (not all of them) need clear limits and consequence for things like screen time...Because they simply do not have the maturity to balance their lives; they just live in the moment.
  17. I've always had a no screen time until after school and other daily commitments are completed. When ds was little; the motto was you're free after three. We also had time limits after dinner and shower to wind down prior to bedtime. I did allow free reading time even a while after bed time, but not electronic. My guy is big now, but we did go through a period where the internet connection turned itself off and on at certain hours. Honestly, I think the hand held devices make the limits even harder today for parents...they're so accessible all the time.
