  1. Fellow introvert here who feels the same as you do. A quiet weekend at home is my idea of heaven. I will be curled up with a book.
  2. Oh yeah, that was mind blowing to me when I found out. Talk about thoroughly disgusting!
  3. Yay!!!!! I'm relieved that he is doing so much better and is now home where he can get all the love and support he needs.
  4. Usually food threads on here leave me hungry. This one has left me nauseated.
  5. @Catwoman. I don't want to quote you in case she wants you to delete later, but I agree with you.
  6. Even though he knows it doesn't have anything to do with him, it still hurts like hell (which I know you know). I'm glad he moved back home where he can get the extra love and support he very much needs right now. My heart just hurts for him.
  7. Praying for your cousin. I hope that she is doing better.
  8. How is he doing now? I'm praying for him. Poor guy is going through hell and to deal with this on top of it is just extra awful.
  9. I second this! Mine health insurance covers mine as well. At my last appointment the receptionist told me that they always file ophthalmologist appointments with health insurance, never eye insurance. I have no idea about ordering online glasses, I have never tried it. I am tempted but I have no idea what the measurement between my eyes is. Isn't that number needed for ordering online?
  10. Years ago we had a next door neighbor that went outside to smoke. I couldn't open the windows without getting blasted with nasty cigarette smoke (so windows never got opened and I stayed inside when she was outside). Honestly I would prefer the smoker grill smoke. The loud music would bother me quite a bit though.
  11. Heck no I wouldn't count it as part of screen time. Listening to music is therapeutic for many of us. We always have music on in my home. I also clearly remember as a teenager I couldn't concentrate on school work unless I had music playing (my kids are the same way). Music is always acceptable around here.
  12. Congratulations on your new home! I hope the termite inspection and closing go off without a hitch. Your grandson is very sweet.
  13. Nope, you shouldn't be expected to pick it up or go looking for them. Be polite but very firm that it is not something you will be doing.
  14. Nice job explaining exactly how I feel too. You really did a very nice job stating this and summing up perfectly how I feel about the kids and I masking even though we are fully vaccinated.
  15. Fully vaccinated and continuing to double mask. I can definitely see an increase in either not masking or not masking properly. With the Delta variant and just under 50% of people not vaxxed, I am not ready to give up my mask. The kids are vaxxed and also continuing to double mask for the same reasons. I don't see the kids or I giving up our masks anytime in this year. We don't mind our masks and it offers extra protection against this virus.
  16. This topic is timely as I am sitting here having a full blown exhaustion meltdown cry. Thing just feel too overwhelming and too hard and while this cry feels good it isn't helping anything except making my headache far worse.
  17. Our church is now making masks optional for those fully vaccinated. This fits with the state guidelines.

    nm. Figured it out.
  19. This was actually what I was going to say as well. Having kids doesn't guarantee one thing.
  20. It makes me mad that TJ's changed their lotion. It was the perfect lotion before they messed it up. Now it is good but not nearly what it was before. It seems the main ingredients are the same, but the lotion feels different and it isn't as moisturizing as the old formula.
  21. I am endlessly frustrated with the increasing numbers of places dropping the mask mandate. While I hope I am wrong, I fear we will look back a year from now and see this was the exact wrong thing to do.
