Terabith
Nobody in my house likes sausage. I was looking for the basement scissors and stumbled across a summer sausage next to the guest bed. I am confused. Does anybody else have a sausage fairy? Should we expect a cracker gnome or a cheese elf next? I like cheese and crackers. 1
Katy
IDK, but I'd blame the cat. At least sausages are more useful than glitter.

I’m not convinced any of my cats could move it.

DawnM
Did you have any guests over the holidays who might have left it?
MEmama
Idk but my cats would ripped that apart and devoured the sausage and plastic in no time flat. Food fairies beware. 🧚♂️

Lori D.
Hmmmm.... Maybe the aliens are testing out how a monolith in your front yard might go down by first checking out the reaction to a summer sausage in your basement... 👽🗿 Edited February 28 by Lori D. 1 1
Elizabeth86
I have 5 kids under 12, so I don’t question anything. My dh is always saying WTF? And I’m like why do you even act surprised. By anything. 2

Also, I have three cats. Rodents would be quite the enrichment activity. Edited February 28 by Terabith 1

KungFuPanda
Maybe a guest, knowing it’s a sausage-free household, brought an emergency sausage but dropped it while packing to leave. 1
cintinative
I think you need to ask your preschool class what they think happened and then record the answers so we can enjoy them. 😃 3

Responses included: “What the heck? I mean, what in the world?” “Miss Terabith, that’s so silly!” Uproarious laughter. “The Easter bunny is going to bring me a chocolate egg!” ”Is that a Leap Day thing? Holidays are so confusing!” 1

I think about this situation from this kid's point of view: Now where did I put that thing?! - or- Shoot, I think I left it at friend's house during break, but that's so embarrassing to ask about. Like hey, did you happen to find a sausage in your basement? My grandpa gave it to me. 1
