chocolate-chip chooky
I want to get some sweet treats delivered to my dad. He's just had a stack of dental work done, so his diet is limited to soft things right now. He loves a sweet treat, and having a sweet surprise delivered will tickle him pink. I need things that are soft and deliverable. So far, all I can think of is coconut ice and soft fudge. Any other ideas? Bonus points for melt in your mouth types of things.

I'm not sure he could chew cookies or pie crust right now, though. Yay for meringues! Thank you 🌻
Drama Llama
Cheesecake? He can just eat the filling and leave the crust. The filling is the best part. Chocolate mousse? Ice cream? 1

If need be, I'll get some of these ideas and drive them to him. I just know he'd get a kick out of a special delivery though.

NewnameC
I’m not sure if cold ice cream feels good after dental work, but my quick search shows places deliver it nationwide. Local/chain ice cream shops are on door dash, Uber eats, etc. Here is an article that lists shippable ice cream. https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/shopping/ice-cream-delivery

They're a common US thing, but I don't remember seeing them in AUS. They're a super soft sugar cookie with a thick buttercream icing. Maybe fairy cakes? Or Lamingtons?
kbutton
Cupcakes Drop-style cookies (cake-like texture) Super soft brownies Pudding (as in US style pudding--it's more milky and less eggy than custard)
Bootsie
I had my wisdom teeth out over Christmas break when I was in college and the easiest thing to eat was fudge. It slowly melted in the mouth without any chewing, but it also didn't crumb or get caught areas like many soft things would do (mashed potatoes were the worst about that).
theelfqueen
You can have ice cream delivered... https://www.goldbelly.com/foods/ice-cream Or via like Uber Eats or GrubHub -- a couple of quarts from Cold Stone or something?

popmom
I was going to suggest looking for a local place that would deliver a milkshake—like DoorDash or something, but you’d need to know if it’s okay for him to use a straw. I know that’s off limits if you’ve had a tooth extraction.
