Peela
I think "grass" immediately, so I picked the spring, nature in general" answer. And I am a greenie, enviromentalist type- but I still think "grass".
Danestress
I guess my second choice was environmental use, with the madison avenue input that is inevitable.
Delighted3
Generally, I have a negative, gut, reaction, and move on without even looking at said "green" product. It's probably one of the fastest ways to lose me as a customer. :iagree: This was a quote from JOANNEQN from page 1. I am not sure why it didn't format right. DB in NJ
Sorry, but I've gotta say other! LOL I think of my little Matty Man's eyes (they're olive green -- really amazing looking) and I think of Kermit the Frog :D
Apiphobic
It reminds me of this widget I have on my page and how much I still have to learn about ways to help.
Elinor Everywhere
Grocer! Isn't that weird? But it was the first thing that popped into my mind. I wouldn't have guessed that, even of myself. :tongue_smilie:
Ailaena
175 people and I am the ONLY one who thinks of vomiting?? Does that make me special, or just lonely:lol:
RebeccaC
A Fundamentalist Religion which holds the sacrament of terrorism in the name of green, but that was not one of your choices.......... :D Edited December 12, 2008 by RebeccaC

PariSarah
I also think of my favorite sock yarn. Most beautiful green evah. So, it's mostly the color.
Guest Katia
Looks like I'm the only one that thinks of a sports team. Actually, I think of the town I grew up in: Green. And of course, the football team: Green Bulldogs.
RoughCollie
I think of trees and nature in general. Green is my favorite color of all time.

Lovedtodeath
Spring or nature. I love the fact that you did not include "other"!

Vanna
It's definitely encouraged me to be a little more environmentally conscience.;)
PrairieAir
Really it depends on the context. Without any context, I guess I'd think of my favorite color. I didn't vote in the poll, though.
Scarlett
No, I don't think it was meant snidely. I think of you as very environmentally conscious because you have been vocally so on the boards for years. So when you asked the question I thought of only one thing, environmental issues, because it was you who asked. :) That is one thing I have known about you for many years now so I think Peek was thinking along the same lines. :) Same here. As soon as I saw Colleen's name there was nothing else I could think of except environmental issues....but I didn't feel snide. :D Sorry Colleen..ya just got a rep. ;)

Cindyg
young horses Ah! Great answer! My first response was grass. The condition of healthy, growing, nutritious grass on which horses graze contentedly and do not require six flakes of hay at $7 a bale. jamnkats
Curious what first springs to mind when you hear the word "green"? Odd question, I know, but it relates to a recent conversation. I'm intentionally not offering the ubiquitous "other" polling option. Just try to make one of these answers work for ya.;) The very first thing that springs to mind is Kermit the Frog. Sorry. :)
jamnkats
Good grief, what's happening to me? Here I thought of a golf green and neglected Kermit. And I even had a Kermit stuffed animal when I was growing up.:D I answered before I read the responses and I DEMAND a Kermit poll answer!!! :) it is good to see I wasn't alone. abbeyej
Generally, I have a negative, gut, reaction, and move on without even looking at said "green" product. It's probably one of the fastest ways to lose me as a customer. Hm. For me that's how I feel about "pink". It's not that I have anything against breast cancer research or supporting breast cancer research, but the *marketing* behind it all. Gah. I won't buy items that are marketed that way.
