.... I  have a book for you. More than a Woman, by Caitlin Moran. She was home educated, by the way. It's sweary and sexually explicit; so far I'm finding it really funny and reassuring.  Here's a review

Thanks for the recommendation!

I’m in a space where I need to be hearing relatable voices, where I can immerse myself in the experiences, wisdoms and mistakes from honest, strong women. I don’t have a real life person to share this space and I’m finding it rather lonely and overwhelming at times.

I'll order it from my local bookshop for sure.

Oh great!  I have it here from the library.  Thanks for the update.

I'm glad.  I found that it was much more profound and thought-provoking than I had expected.  I want to get anyone who will be a woman or who might go out with a woman to read most of it.

I'm almost done with it and finding the same thing.  I really like it and wanted to thank you for the recommendation because I'd never heard of her before this.

A sweet follow up option.  If your grumpy middle-aged self needs a lift, a podcast by Marian Keyes and Tara Flynn: 'Now You're asking'.  It's an agony aunt podcast - not my usual fare - but they are so kind, so wise and have such beautiful voices.

I'm now reading my first Marian Keyes novel, partly because I can hear her beautiful cadences in the narration:

I just listened to a couple of episodes while cleaning up the garden. Love it!  Thanks so much for the recommendation!
