ktgrok
Anyone have absolute favorite gifts for a nine-month-old? I'm thinking I will get her one of those shopping cart seat covers. And I think I'm going to get a new, easier to use, slimmer high chair – the one for my Kia. Maybe a toy she can lean on to stand? Anyone know what I mean? She's in the pulling up phase right now. Anything fabulous? Otherwise she's getting clothes and diapers, LOL.
JustEm
Sorry, no help. Our 11 month that old will not be getting anything. Well I might wrap up some old toys that are in the garage for him. But we have so much and will be getting so much from in-laws I'll wait another year to add him into the crazy mix
catz
We got a ton of use out of one of these little push wagons. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Radio-Flyer-Classic-Walker-Wagon/38237163?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227027117927&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=t&wl3=43538397032&wl4=pla-83258919872&wl5=9019546&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=38237163&wl13=&veh=sem
Elizabeth86
I was going to suggest a toy to activity table too. My top two picks at that age that get played with forever: It's a wooden activity cube like at dr offices I got at target called the zany zoo. We got that with my first son for his first bday and it has gone tbrough all 3 kids and my 2 and 4 year old still play with itm. It is about right for a baby that size. I also got a poppy ball dinosaur thing. I can't rememeber what it is called but balls pop around and out its mouth. A small ball pit is fun too. Ailaena
I know I should remember what my kid liked a year and a half ago, but I’m old, so... I just bought this for my nephew https://www.amazon.com/Hape-Spring-A-Ling-Wooden-Bead-Maze/dp/B006GCRJ9Q/ And this sit and stand thing is something somebody gave us around that time and he loved it. Hell, my kid STILL plays with it or else I’d totally send it to you :p https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0053X62GK/

2_girls_mommy
When mine was 10 mos old for her first christmas I got her a toy cell phone from Walmart, a Vtech. It was less than $15, and now at 3.5 yrs old it is still one of her favorite toys. The batteries ran out a long time ago, but she carries it around since she sees everyone else with cell phones constantly. :)
Andromeda
If you are ok with electronic sounds, you might want to look into getting an activity table like this one. My kids loved it and used it for quite a long time.
Hilltopmom
This one loooks neat- I saw it at a fancy toy store. There’s a mini version too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016F5QJQW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513439158&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=spin+again&dpPl=1&dpID=41JPt2eAV3L&ref=plSrch
Ali in OR
An ornament for her first Christmas. Something she can move with--she'll be walking all too soon. At first I thought you were getting her a shopping cart and I thought that would be good--something to push or pull while moving around the house.
school17777
I got my youngest the Discovery Castle Marbleworks. Well worth it. It is behind my couch at the moment because I have a little one come over a couple of times a week who plays with. It was the most played toy that Christmas even among the big kids. If you get it, add in the extra set of balls (can use those for a stocking stuffer).
wonderchica
Yes, one of those activity cubes she can pull up on! And a push toy. Those little wagons are great.
Myra
A push toy like the fisher price corn popper an oball wobble bobble Both hits at our house eons ago!
caedmyn
I got a cute teething toy from Munchables for DS4 last year. This year he's getting a button snake and, if I can find one, a hand-knit winter hat.
medawyn
My 19 month old STILL plays with this from last Christmas (he was just shy of 8 months). His big sibs do, too, for that matter: https://www.amazon.com/Edushape-Rollipop-Advanced-Ball-Drop/dp/B0015LNY60/ref=sr_1_16_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1513451132&sr=8-16&keywords=ball%2Bramp&th=1 Another similar option: https://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Bridge-Educational-Family-Toddler/dp/B01J779WSC/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1513451132&sr=8-5&keywords=ball+ramp I really can't believe how often these get built and used. Clearly, my littlest does not build it himself, but he loves to put the balls on over and over and over and... Someone here also recommended something called the Spin Again from FatBrain toys that looks like something mine would love. I've book marked it for next year when the not-yet baby is about 1. OrganicJen
My baby at that age loved Wedgits. I loved that they grow with him so that he can enjoy them for years to come. He first started playing with them at 6 months and by 9 months loved them and built with them all the time.
