15 pounds down, 15 to go

I posted here back in Feb or March about needing to lose weight after knee surgery, depression and high stress that resulted in a large weight gain.  I had previously done LCHF but couldn't mentally handle the intense feeling of doing it again- at least the ketosis version. A couple of people here encouraged me to take a more moderate low-carb approach....I would link to the thread but couldn't find it in the search LOL

Anyway- THANK YOU. It was the right perspective at the right time.  I didn't think it would work and that only super low carb would work, but it did.  Its been slow going but consistent enough that I'm exhaling a bit.

Since April I've lost 15lbs and have 15 more to go by Christmas. I've been eating reduced calories and very low carb, but not ketosis low (50-75g range) so it hasn't felt hard.  It seems to be low enough that I'm not having constant cravings but high enough (generally) that I am not feeling the brain fog/keto flu. I have been walking a lot and doing some knee rehab work on the elliptical, but relying solely on my fork to give me the loss (I'm a massage therapist, so pretty in shape as I have a very physically demanding job).  It feels very doable and maintainable too as its not extreme- which is what I needed, psychologically.
