alisoncooks
I'm bored so I'm planning ahead... DD will turn 10 in June. She will be at summer camp on her birthday, and I didn't want the day to pass with no acknowledgement. I thought about ordering cupcakes at the local bakery and having them delivered...but I think that's outside my budget. Now I'm thinking of just filling a flat-rate box with fun stuff and having it arrive on her b-day. Maybe include a t-shirt; I saw one that said "Celebrating a decade of awesomeness." What else could I stick in there? This camp does not allow candy or outside food in the dorms. She'll be there the whole week and her birthday falls right smack in the middle, so maybe something that'll be fun for the rest of the week. What would you put in the box? gingersmom
The dollar store sells that putty stuff you put on end of straw and blow. I can't think of what it's called but my kids loved it and it would be fun at camp. This stuff- http://www.amazon.com/Bloonies-Plastic-Balloons-Variety-Assorted/dp/B000YXWSAS I think your idea is so much fun! Chris in VA
I love the above ideas that allow her to share with others in her cabin--Mad Libs are so fun in a big group, and the little bubbles would be a blast! Maybe you could include some party decorations, and/or those little blowers--enough for everyone in her cabin.
JonesinIndiana
Could you do a few cans of silly string? I don't know if that would be difficult to mail, but I think it would be fun to share the cans with her friends and have a "war".

AndyJoy
That t-shirt sounds fun! Signing to back of someone's t-shirt is a classic camp thing too, if you wanted to suggest that she might enjoy having it signed by friends.
