Miss Peregrine
If you stopped eating meat did you have in increase in, um, output, for awhile? :confused1:
Jean in Newcastle
Did you increase your roughage/fiber with beans, fruits and veggies?
Slache
I stopped eating meat for a year when I was 19 with no change.
Miss Peregrine
Did you increase your roughage/fiber with beans, fruits and veggies? I guess so, but I haven't really been eating much of anything. Going from 1 x /day to 3 seems strange.

Going from 1 x /day to 3 seems strange. Yeah, that's pretty normal. It's actually a good thing. Faster transit times are correlated with a decreased risk for cancers. It also reduces your risk for diverticulitis down the road. Behold the power of fiber. :0)
Elisabet1
I have never cared for meat. And I have always gone to the bathroom a lot. I am not sure if they are related. I never thought about it before.

Very normal and healthy.

mamaraby
I forgot to mention, it not only is a thing....it's a bog enough thing that you can get t-shirts and stickers (http://www.foodfightgrocery.com/im-vegan-and-i-poop-3-times-a-day-sticker/) to celebrate your new super power. Lol
Rosie_0801
Perhaps you need to drink more water. :)
Miss Peregrine
Perhaps you need to drink more water. :)That is definitely true. My consumption has gone way down since it got cold.
hornblower
Once you start thinking about being a super pooper, you'll never be able to listen to Abba's Supertrooper without replacing the lyrics in your mind.....just a warning.and possibly an earworm.... I used to sing it to my kids whenever I changed their nappies... Poor darlings probably don't know what the words are.
SparklyUnicorn
I think this can happen with any dietary change. Especially if it wasn't done gradually. I once got carried away with raw broccoli. Not good...not good..
Cinder
Dh and I went through a period of not eating meat and, yes, the output seemed to increase. At least the frequency did. I always thought that was a good thing--to get rid of the trash more often.
Tammyla
I went from bing irregular to pretty regular, but it wasn't more so much as more often.
Bensmom
I switched from the standard American diet (SAD indeed), to vegetarian at the end of summer. Not only did my output increase, but when we went to WDW and I "cheated" and tried to eat a meal with lean meat, I had terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. Did this twice (not smart...especially while on vacation!) and had the same terrible results both times. Continued vacation for ten more days without meat and was okay again, so I don't think it was just eating different foods or having a different schedule. Just a little warning so ya don't try to reintroduce meat during important holiday events ;)
poppy
When I saw the TMI, I knew it was going to be about pooping! Jokes about men who spend hours in the toilet with a magazine are not about vegetarians. In, out, done, multiple times per day!
