Amira
I've hardly ever used fresh mozzarella before, so I'd love some ideas. Thanks!
AK_Mom4
Eat them? Well, technically I like to slice them about 1cm thick and then eat them along with fresh grapes and strawberries, but if there isn't a knife handy, I have been known to just gnaw down...... Also amazing with no-sugar zucchini bread, btw.
Amira
Well, yeah, eating them is always a great option. :) But I'm sitting here in Wisconsin for the week and there is lots of fresh mozzarella around, so I'm thinking to try something new for dinner. Mrs Mungo
I like to make a salad with grape tomatoes, fresh basil (sliced thinly), fresh mozzarella, red onions, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Putting them on homemade pizza with fresh tomatoes and basil is another good option.
Dmmetler
I like a caprese salad-fresh heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and a little olive oil, basil, and a little roasted garlic. Maybe a few good olives, if I have them. Fresh mozzarella also is awesome on sandwiches, especially hot ones, on pizza, or in lasagna or other baked pasta. It adds a little more fluid, so you want to adjust slightly.
Mom in High Heels
Eat them until they are ALL GONE! I love fresh mozzarella! I'm a big fan of Caprese salad (mentioned above), but I only put mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil and good olive oil (I don't like balsamic vinegar on mine). It's also great for Caprese panninis or grilled sandwiches (same ingredients as the salad, but on pannini bread or just regular bread and grilled. Oh, it's also good to use French bread and not heat it. OMG, I so want some now!
dirty ethel rackham
Caprese salad Tomatoes, sliced fresh mozzarella, basil drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette reduction (one of the most delicious substances on earth), olive oil and salt and pepper. I absolutely love this salad. Simple, elegant and delicious. It has become my go-to for a take along salad. The key getting the reduction right. SadieMarie
Chop some tomatoes and basil. Add the mozzarella balls and a splash of olive oil and some salt. Toss it with just cooked and drained spaghetti or fettuccine. It is yum, yum, yum!
unsinkable
A fun appetizer with the mini fresh mozzarella balls are to thread them on a skewer w/ a basil leaf and a tomato and then drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

Kebo
Mozzarella S'mores are good -- it's really just a variation of the suggestions already made above. I dressed them up a bit when I made them (used prosciutto and a few other things, can't remember all of the changes) http://www.food.com/recipe/mozzarella-smores-131089

poppy
Fresh mozzarella is the whole reason I have a panini press. Basil, tomato, you know the deal. Sorry the answer isn't original but - it is SO GOOD.
