AvasMom
We have a house binder. I stole the idea from a good friend we once rented from. Just take any binder, divide it into sections depending on your needs, and make one of them for appliance manuals. Just slip them into page protectors and put them into the binder. :)

ladyinthegarden
I keep a binder for our health records and personal items. I haven't tried putting manuals in binders. It would be nice to take them off the shelf, and flip through them when you need one on occasion.
lynn
We have a filing cabinet and we have all manuals and receipts filed there.
crazyforlatin
They are in hanging files in a drawer. I would like to sort them out but the newer ones tend to go into one file in the beginning. Every few months I look through them to see if anything can be discarded. I think there are some that are now available as PDFs from company websites. nmoira
Straight to the recycle bin after I've read them. I find it online and store it in my Google Drive.
crazyforlatin
Straight to the recycle bin after I've read them. I find it online and store it in my Google Drive. Just from your science books list, I know you are super organized and expect nothing less than the above from you. I need to do this soon. dbmamaz
i still file them in the cabinet, but it is usually faster to find them on line now
*Lulu*
Straight to the recycle bin after I've read them. I find it online and store it in my Google Drive. I do love this idea, especially for the manuals I rarely consult. OP- I keep some in files in our office because DH is very *ahem* concerned that we keep all manuals. (Even to fisher price style toys) I keep those relevant to my kitchen appliances in a binder with my cookbooks for easier accessibility and the one or two I might frequently consult at my fingertips in the kitchen drawer. KungFuPanda
I keep them in my files, but with my new stove, I downloaded the manual into iBooks, so I may toss the paper one.
Dolphin
We have a house binder. I stole the idea from a good friend we once rented from. Just slip them into page protectors and put them into the binder. :) We don't divide into sections, but we have a big binder with the cookbooks. They nice thing about this is that it has helped things sell fast on craigs list. When things break it is usually quicker to look online. When selling something it is wonderful to put includes manual with it.
kiwik
I hung them in a high cupboard and hope I can find them if I need them.
nd293
They're in a plastic storage box in the shed.
Firefly
I slip them in plastic binder sleeves and keep them in a huge binder in one of the kitchen cabinets. We have one in the garage too, to lawn equipment and such. I love the idea of ditching them all and finding the online ones instead... but how will I access them during the zombie apocalypse?? :tongue_smilie:
LAS in LA
The binder idea is also great for the new people if you ever rent or sell the house. [We keep house-item manuals separate from "stuff" manuals.]
RegGuheert
I keep them in my files, but with my new stove, I downloaded the manual into iBooks, so I may toss the paper one. This is what I do, as well! I file every manual in case I want to sell, but I also look online for a PDF copy of the manual for each item we purchase and I keep them on my iPad in iBooks. That way they are always close at hand!
