  1. Late to this post but I made jalapeno tarts today and I CANNOT STOP eating them! 1 stick of butter 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 c flour cayenne pepper, salt, pepper to taste 1 T milk or less jalapeno jelly Preheat oven to 400. Mix butter and cheese completely. Add flour, cayenne, pepper, salt, pepper. Add milk. Mix with cheese and butter. Form into balls(should be the consistency of cookie dough or just a tad dryer) and put in mini muffin pan. Indent the middle and put jalapeno jelly in the indent. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. 3. Ok stop spending! :) You have bought for them. They are not going without anything. Enjoy being done. Wrapping takes less time w/fewer gifts. Enjoy the holidays and each other's company. Did that help? :)
  4. Apparently we are having beef jerky :) If I were going to pick something up--pizza.
  5. I ran to walmart this morning because I did not want to run out of toilet paper over the holidays so that's done. That's the only thing that I had on my 'to do' list today.
  6. I rarely shop there but did once during the time period. My bank said they are monitoring my account... Hopefully I can get through this next week and then I'll go and get a new card. I hate this!
  7. I like shopping at Kroger but their generic products are just off more times than not.
  8. plastic soap dishes that close, pencil boxes, ziploc bags
  9. Last year I lost a package of beef jerky and a package of underwear. I still haven't found them...
  10. We stopped on Wednesday. Oldest had a Christmas party yesterday and we don't do a whole lot of school on Fridays anyway.
  11. I've had my product reviews picked several times at Rainbow Resource($25 gift certificate) and I won a $75 random drawing there also. I think that's it.
  12. I'm not a fan of videos that go viral. There's some Christmas card one that is everywhere right now. I REFUSE to watch it lol
  13. 2nd pozole. Here's the recipe I use: http://www.bhg.com/recipe/chicken/crock-posole/
  14. No, I wouldn't return it. If it had started unraveling after wearing it once, yes. A scratchy fabric, no.
  15. My boys are getting new pjs and a movie, popcorn, favorite movie candy and hot chocolate. I saw it on pinterest. I bought some really fun boxes from Hobby Lobby to put everything in. This is the first year to do this. In the past it's just been pajamas.
  16. Free time for all! No set schedules and plans are extremely flexible.
  17. The foods are different for everyone. However, if you do have gallbladder disease and it is advanced, pretty much anything you eat is going to cause an attack. If nothing else make an appt and get a scan. They will be able to tell you if it is gallbladder disease and how long you may be able to wait to have surgery.
  18. I'm going to the local butcher shop and getting my parents a variety of meat. I don't know if that is a 'grab you' kind of gift but it's what I'm doing this year :)
  19. I have a friend like this. I believe her's is a cry for help or to have someone listen to her. I pick and choose what I reply to and I don't engage the 'poor is me'. Sometimes it's I'm sorry your day is rotten or sometimes I offer some solutions. I truly care that she is feeling down and I want her to know that she has been 'heard'.
  20. homemade mac and cheese--it is my all time favorite side.
  21. I think we do children a disservice if all they ever see is happy, cheerful. I'm not nor do I think mom's should be crazy, screaming and hollering at their children. Mine definitely know the 'mom' voice. They've seen me happy, sad, tickled, mad, angry, silly... How many people are just cheery all the time--I don't know anyone like that and I'm not going to pretend that I am.
  22. How about filling up stockings for yours to have something to open on Christmas and then adopt a family that is in need...just an idea. If there was truly nothing they wanted or needed I would not spend money just for the sake of the holiday.
  23. I have a 3 year old that hates to travel and gets car sick easily so 4 hours is torture...but yeah in another scenario 4 hours is probably no big deal.
