  1. I have never made the muffins, just the chili. I never brown anything first. I just dump it in the pot and cook. http://whatvegankidseat.blogspot.com/2013/03/vegan-crockpot-chili-and-corn-muffins.html?m=1
  2. DeSolveIt. Available at Walmart. Best stuff ever! http://www.de-solv-it.com/
  3. You should absolutely call the non emergency line of his local police department and tell them everything you have posted here.
  4. I have an electric pressure cooker that requires no monitoring once it is set. It does not heat up my house or use as much electricity as an oven. The inner pot rinses cleanly with just water or a dab of soap (takes about 1- 2 min to clean). I actually prefer the taste of potatoes cooked in my PC to those cooked in my oven. I give those cooked on my grill only a slight edge over the PC ones. (but they require more monitoring and going out in the elements.) Even given the heat up time, I can still cook potatoes faster in my PC than in my oven. I cook in my electric PC almost every day.
  5. There are many YouTube videos showing people cooking with their electric pressure cookers (search under pressure cooker, instapot, or Fagor).
  6. The basket i so that you can steam things. For potatoes, I put about 2 cups of water in the PC, put in the basket, then put in the potatoes and steam for 13 min. They always come out amazingly good! The basket enables you to steam things and not get them soggy. I eat a plant based diet and eat a bunch of vegetables, so a steamer basket is a necessity for me.
  7. Have an electric Fagor. Love it!!! We eat a plant based diet. Beans are so easy to fix in the PC. Steamed potatoes are the very best. It really seals in the potato flavor. Must have a silicone basket to use an electric PC effectively. http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Grips-Silicone-Steamer-Green/dp/B00A2KD8IY/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1442884982&sr=8-8&keywords=silicone+strainer

Have you considered moving to something with less maintenance to help ease the stress? I know it would not solve everything.
  9. I just saw "fund my Expedition to Antarctica" and "Fund My Son Going to Sports Competition in Florida" It seems that many things that should be legitimate fundraisers (selling baked goods or doing lawn chores) are now just GoFundMe pages.
  10. Here is a prime example. I always think, "why should I pay for your kid's expensive sport?" Club basketball is <daughter>'s vehicle to fulfill her dreams. As her team travels to tournaments the cost becomes large and very hard to budget. As a father that wants the best for all my children I ask for a bit of help do I can allow <daughter> to compete in the National tournament. Club fees, travel expenses and hotel are steep. Thank you for anything you can give to send my hard working and determined daughter to nationals.

  20. I want to echo PP who suggested focusing on math and ELA. Incorporate some science and history into your reading, but remember, they are content areas. Math and ELA are skill areas and the most important part of a good education foundation. ETA: You are awesome for what you are doing.
