  1. Bump I look for this old thread every year at Christmas time. These books make great gifts.
  2. I have used a few Rxs over the years for my rosacea. Some helped, some didn't. I have tried many OTC products too. This is what has worked the best for me. https://www.clinique.com/redness-solutions-skin-care-clinique
  3. Potato Soup and corn bread is cheap and will feed our family for a couple of meals. Serve and eat every little bite of leftovers. Plan a leftovers meal every few days.
  4. I went to the customer service counter at the grocery store and got rain checks on a few BOGO items they were sold out of. So I guess that would count.

  6. Today's lunch was popcorn and fruit smoothies.
  7. Most all of the women in my family before my generation stayed home. The house was kept clean, they did most of the yard work, took care of the garden, hung the laundry out to dry, had supper on the table at 5 everyday, was home with the kids after school, did all of the shopping and errands, was there to take care of an elderly neighbor or ...trust me they worked just as hard as their husbands. No thought of them as being lazy or not pulling their weight. Having money wasn't important. All the bills were paid, so why would they need to work. Maybe it is more common in certain locations. This is in the middle of no where WV. There would have also been the expense on the 2nd car.
  8. We never buy new. My car now was bought with 5,000 miles on it. My husband got his truck with 9,000 miles on it. Huge savings on both.
  9. I used them while on vacations or when we went to places like the circus. If I was buying a snack at a crowded place like Disney on Ice, I would have both hands and eyes off my child. In those few seconds I was always afraid something would happen. This is the kind I used. http://www.amazon.com/Jeep-90214R-Backpack-Harness-Puppy/dp/B002T44LZU
  10. If I don't meal plan I go to the store and don't know what to buy. I will also forget things to make complete meals. Then an hour before dinner I am standing in the kitchen and can't think of what to make. I only meal plan for usually 3 meals at a time because I got to the store a couple of times a week. Without a little meal planning we have lots of pasta and breakfast for dinner. Planning any more than 3-4 meals at a time overwhelm me.
  11. I get lots of inspiration here http://thisweekfordinner.com/2016/05/15/week-486-weekly-menu/#comments Read the comments where other share their menus each week.
  12. In the evening around 8pm our Walmart marks down the rotisserie chicken to 50% off. A couple of those can make a lot of meals.
  13. Just found this thread. Great ideas for some summer fun learning :) Just wanted to give it a bump.
  14. Lots of pasta salad, soft tacos, fresh fruit and veggies, sandwiches, and smoothies
