Another vote for ask the parents or athlete. The people I know stick with very specific products and would rather bring their own than trust a new item while out and about.

I can't imagine anyone thinking it's fine to leave an unattended bag. (Accidentally leaving it behind is a different thing.)

I still think competition comes into play here. You're the food person and she is trying to compete with that by creating a thing you're doing "wrong". You not joining the competition would be just doing your thing and not dragging anyone else into it or comparing meals. By telling the dad and quizzing the kid you were competing. Ime, someone needs to stop competing for things to calm down. You seem to want the dynamic to change so it'll need to be you. My two cents, ymmv

I'm reading Bittersweet (Susan Cain?) for March 12 book club and I don't think I'm going to finish! I'm definitely a bittersweet personality and I get triggered reading about it so not inclined to pick it up over something cozy.

It's unbelievable to me, given current tech, that there isn't some sort of system in place to double-check the location and service/chemicals. It would be so easy for the poison sprayers to have a photo of the house to check they're in the right place, at the very least.

How could the cops, grown adults, not conceive of "maybe her condition changed and we should call an ambulance"?

I've always wanted an outdoor rocking chair but with no covered spot have been waiting to afford one made of "plastic lumber" so rain can be wiped off. I finally scored one I could afford and dh just finished putting it together! Heading out soon to rock! 🤘

@cbollin You called yourself "the bad person everyone is yelling at". No one is yelling at you. Let's keep the focus on Lisa Edwards. Her situation is an absolute nightmare. Why couldn't she hang out at the hospital waiting room or public areas? Why couldn't the cops call an ambulance? Being able to say " I can't breathe " does NOT equal "yes, you can". Cops don't know this?

That brussel sprout rant leaves me speechless! Showing off??!? Sounds like she has no filter whatsoever. I actually prefer straightforward over someone saying nothing but I would not change the menu or whatever the current rant was.

The babysitting example would be on the sitter...they should sit for the person who they told "yes". If the sitter bales on their commitment it's on the sitter not a negotiation with the other party.
