    If kitty can reach it'll eventually be taken care of naturally! If not, they do sell kitty safe wipes but our cat hates them. We use a warm, wet cloth when the need arises

    I wonder if teachers assume non traumatic is the norm? My kids too have been through unbelievable traumatic stuff. The stereotypical "norm" would be nothing to them too. Teachers should stop assuming this is a safe sort of assignment.

    Some of my favorite book club meetings are when not everyone liked the book...interesting conversations that spark new insights!

    I know an elderly man suddenly showing signs of mental decline. The wife is overwhelmed and I'd like to suggest to be sure they've checked for a UTI. Iirc, the usual, initial test can miss it. That's "dip test"? What's the next level test called? My Google skills are lacking! I want to be able to let her know exactly what to ask for beyond "check for UTI "

    Fun read but doesn't fit the assignment, imo. It reads more like a description that would be a portion of a bigger piece. The vaccination could fit if, in addition to losing the twist, maybe expanding the lesson of not overthinking things or such.

    Ugh. Hate these types of things too. I agree with making this fiction! We won't tell the teacher! Otherwise can he come up with a more dramatic vaccine story? Maybe he realized he's part of community? Maybe the experience gave him the confidence to XYZ?

    I think some people use Irish Spring soap for deterring other animals. Would that be safe around dogs?

    I agree with radio. Maybe stuff that smells of human? Do they ever leave? Can you seal up how they get under?

    Finally read it after waiting for the e-book from the library! I liked it a lot! Every "I didn't read the book but..." comment is absolutely taking some snippet from an article out of context. I really don't see this as a "tell all" and there was kindness where there could have been wrath.

    I don't think it's shingles either. My point was that doctors can work from photos. I should've clarified that my point was the photos not the shingles portion of my experience!

    When I had shingles in 2020 the doctor was able to diagnose it via photos during an e-visit.

    Sorry for your loss Have you talked with the funeral home yet? Ime, they have experience with all the details and will help with any questions. They should have good btdt advice in regards to numbers and best ways to communicate.

    I always do better reading than listening. I had an instance where the only way I could borrow a book club book in time was audio. I sped up the playback and that really helped me pay attention.

    I've not been reading about this. Are they making the point to not shoot at this thing and reminding that bullets falling down are as dangerous?

    If they didn't use the word balloon I think it would be more alarming. I know it's not a "balloon" balloon but I haven't managed to add "giant and scary" to my brain's idea of balloon!

    I've used the vegan starter from Cultures for Health. I've used shelf stable soy milk made of just soybeans and water. This was based on advice I read somewhere.
