I have not used it but I have this review bookmarked. I have filed it away under "maybe." Perhaps this review will help? http://www.simplyconvivial.com/2015/cottage-press-review-giveaway

Circle Time Resources-HELP!
Kristie in Florida replied to Meadowlark's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I won't be listening to this until I fold laundry later but I wanted to pass it on. It is the latest Your Morning Basket podcast and it looks like it'll be really good. http://edsnapshots.com/ymb12/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+EverydaySnapshots+%28Everyday+Snapshots%29 -
My toddler is very similar. He sleeps the best when his sister is in there too and she isn't ready to sleep when she is. He still needs a nap but will stay up to between 10 and eleven because of it. If he skips that nap and then goes to be early he will just be wired hours later. It sucks.

Circle Time Resources-HELP!

Yes! And start small. I had to realize, after trying too much at first, that these mamas that I admired so much had been doing circle time/morning basket for years. It builds. -
Dr. Hive - adolescent menstrual questions
Kristie in Florida replied to MiniBlondes's topic in The Chat Board
I don't remember what mine were like then. My daughter's have been normal/light since they started in October. If they were suddenly that heavy I'd call her doctor. Mine have never been that heavy. -
I feel like too much changing and she should leave it be.

When Did Alpha-Phonics Become FREE!!!!
Kristie in Florida replied to Hunter's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
Oh my gosh. Okay, my son is only two and I totally don't need this yet, but I'm nervous about teaching reading. Do I just download everything and it'll tell me what to do? Who knows, in two to four years I probably will be able to afford a fancy curriculum. But right now I can't. It'll be good to have a back up that I understand just in case. -

I just read your post again and I'm thirding Mystie. Her morning time sounds perfect for you. Simply Convivial. Ours is very simple, just prayers, some memory work, and a read aloud, but I want it to be like Mystie's and the link I linked above when it grows up. -

The really fun ones on Nickelodeon when I was a kid, like Double Dare. They just seemed so much fun.

You need this blog... http://wildflowersandmarbles.com/2016/01/24/morning-basket-term-2-plans-tools-and-printables-to-share/ Her posts on her "morning basket" will get you started. She is Catholic and awesome. -
Nutrition, fitness, and self esteem. My daughter is a ballet dancer. Also, I noticed that if it was coming from someone that she admires, and not me, she would listen. So she is reading Bethany Hamilton's book for example, and I found her some appropriate youtubers who dance to follow. She gets excited to try new healthy recipes that she finds herself.

Put my fingers in my ears and sing "la di da" on the top of my lungs. Want to! So ready for a break. Cleaning up peanut butter on door knobs, fishing toys out of the toliet, helping with pre algebra, preparing things for the new baby, scrubbing down my toddler cause he got into the stamp pads (again!), trying to organize things to prevent needing to give him three baths a day... and that was just this morning. It's 10:30. That tends to be my normal, but February just makes it harder.

There was a thread about this recently but I can't remember. -
How do you schedule your 180 days?
Kristie in Florida replied to macmacmoo's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Like you do. Our state doesn't require a specific amount though, 180 just makes sense to me. -
What would you love to see a Christian book on?
Kristie in Florida replied to Whereneverever's topic in The Chat Board
That sounds amazing and if I wasn't so busy I'd write it myself! -
Awesome tradition! It's pancakes for dinner here.

WWS Level 1- time per day/week? Difficulty?
Kristie in Florida replied to matrips's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
We do it at half pace. She hasn't been having any difficulty and the length of time she works on it varies. Every once in awhile she has a days assignment that trips her up and the extra day to work on it helps. Next year we will most likely schedule it as intended though. She will be in seventh and I want her to go through all three years. -
So, do you have a favorite poem?
Kristie in Florida replied to theelfqueen's topic in General Education Discussion Board
“Hope†is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all - And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard - And sore must be the storm - That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm - I’ve heard it in the chillest land - And on the strangest Sea - Yet - never - in Extremity, It asked a crumb - of me. ... It speaks to me.
