  1. Just 2 removed with dental and sedation ran me about $800 10 years ago. I think most of that was the sedation, which I had to pay 100%.
  2. A child psychologist, therapist, behavioral therapist, neuropsych. Earlier help is better, not waiting to see "if" she'll grow out of it.
  3. I wouldn't use these in a high efficiency washer. I've heard many stories of them getting caught in the filter and causing overflows.
  4. Be careful with St. Johns county (for registering to homeschool), they are known for being very unorganized with records and wanting more documentation than state law allows.
  5. These two things - exactly. Why are you wasting your time and mental energy on something so utterly inane?
  6. I was thinking the same thing. I don't think I've ever seen a theater with wood counters. Usually it's all glass - front and top (so you can see all that delicious candy) with metal doors and workspaces behind (for easy cleaning).
  7. In regards to the bolded, did you pay for packing and moving? Moving companies regard these separately. If you did, they should have come out to pack you up in the days before the move. They don't pack and load on the same day - usually it's totally different crews handling each piece. If you did pay for pack & load, I would definitely call the company.
  8. Homeschoolbuyersco-op.org has Word Voyage, which is for 4th - 12th and web-based.
  9. This is what I do. Report attendance once a quarter and have zero other reporting. (If you use this, you can use FLVS if your umbrella is affiliated with them, but you can not do sports or extracurriculars through the school.)
  10. Is there no possibility of a minor in Japanese?
  11. I agree with the bolded. Maybe it would help to stop thinking about the eyeglass analogy and replace it with an infection. Your son's immune system is there to fight off infections, but you wouldn't refuse to give him antibiotics to help his immune system. No sane parent would. If you've suspected something is wrong since he was 3 and refused to get him tested due to you bias against "labels", he has missed years of specialized help. How much more does he have to struggle before he gets real help, not just hand-holding by you?
  12. I lived in Frisco,TX (northern suburb of Dallas) from 2005 to 2013. We got snow every single year we were there. (Being from Florida, snow was incredibly exciting and photo worthy.) That being said, I hated the heat and almost perpetual drought in the area and was incredibly happy to move away.
  13. https://simplycharlottemason.com/store/spelling-wisdom/ I think book 4 or 5 of this would be what you're looking for. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the sample pages to see works from those 2 books.
  14. Netflix always puts this warning on every show it's going to delete about two weeks before it happens. I'm sad that they're taking Mythbusters off in a few days.
  15. Best Buy recycles them for free (along with many other electronics).
  16. Another option to homeschool in FL is to register with an umbrella school. The one I am registered with is free and allows you complete freedom to choose what you do with your children. Since I moved here from Texas, I was used to that freedom and did not want to have to jump through hoops for the county. This option allows you to use FLVS (if you want) without having to take any state tests, but you cannot participate in school sports/clubs unless you are registered with the county. PM me if you want the name.
  17. I second the Reglan. I went from not being able to keep so much as a sip of water down to feeling half-way decent within a week. I also started it immediately upon starting to get sick with my second.
  18. I don't understand the bolded. T4L is very upfront that the parent is the teacher and grades all writing assignments which, if saved and turned in properly, are always available through the parent account. I have 2 using T4L for different subjects, and as a former high school teacher, find this work on par with b&m schools.
  19. Thirding this. EarPlanes keep me from a week of ear pain after flying.
  20. Alg 1 in 8th is becoming increasingly standard in many states (especially for the college track) and I would really want a student to have exposure to Geometry before taking the SAT.
