  1. Thank you so much! Is the other dog photo a labradoodle? Willow is adorable.
  2. I am busy cluttering. It's much easier and more fun.
  3. What math topics are covered in Singapore 4b?
  4. We are SO into the Revolutionary War here. We are doing a battlefield reproduction of the Battle of Cowpens (and hope to go there this summer). I used some of the EM history pockets, we watched every episode of Liberty Kids, are reading the book The Great Little Madison, have a new book called The Founding of the United States from B&N, which has reproduction letters and Declaration of Independence. I downloaded a packet on uniforms of the Revolutionary War that is really interesting, too. Most of that was over the last two weeks.
  5. Can anyone tell me how to attach a photo within a post? I have tried all the little thingies on the toolbar to no avail. Am I missing something? I am sure there must be a simple solution!
  6. I am a retired nursing instructor and RN....the outdate on almost all medications is far in advance of their actual "outdate." I have used Dramamine much older than that with no problem. Heartlikealion in an above post mentioned, I think Epi Pens. They ABSOLUTELY must be in date!
  7. I loved the Phineas and Ferb video. Now I know what an aglet actually is, even though it is probably one of the most useless pieces of information I have ever been exposed to.
  8. You are never too old to have a happy childhood or a Happy Birthday. Celebrate it next week and take everyone out to dinner. Let them know it's your birthday (make sure it's one of the places that bring a little cake and sing offkey). Sorry about your leg and all the rest. If we were there we would all sing, make you a cake, do your dishes, take the kids off your hands, and bring you flowers. Consider that virtually done! We all care. OOO
  9. Try using all cotton socks and dust them with baby powder.
  10. I forgot to list one of my all time favorite movies: Ratatouille.
  11. The Crying Game Tootsie A River Runs Through It The Goodbye Girl A Beautiful Mind Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Alice in Wonderland (Johnny Depp) Notting Hill In the Name of the Father The Committments
  12. You are clearly doing a wonderful job. Please congratulate your son for us. Your brother has some serious boundary issues and needs to mature a bit. I wouldn't defend my position to him or say anything about his. Just find strength in quietness and confidence. That will be much more effective.
  13. I buy all my furniture from flea markets and thrift stores..some kind of higher end. I repaint or antique some of it.
  14. Your son is doing what good writers do. If you can really say in 7 pages what might take someone else 10, all the better. Ken Rand in The 10% Solution: Self-editing for the Modern Writer would applaud him.
  15. I never talk about this, but it seems appropriate here. My mother has BPD and sounds very much like yours. I could never live with her for five minutes and I admire that you have done what you have done. How you are standing it, I can't imagine. Find freedom in an unfree world and call it quits. Just because people are old does not mean they are nice, or that their really bad behavior is acceptable or should be accepted or that they should be allowed to harm others with it. My love to you.
  16. Over the past two years I have had to get ALL new appliances and I love all of them to the max. They are SO much better than my old ones, which were really old. Appliances are the only things I get extended warranties on, and the dishwasher needed two repairs, but it is great. My new stove is the best thing ever. All of them have made life so much easier. I shopped them all to death before I bought them and then agonized over my decisions, but now I trust myself more than ever :).
  17. For whatever reason, I am registered and logged in but getting lots of ads. Maybe the bugs aren't worked out yet?
  18. That is just terrible! I am so sorry you had to go through that. It could have been anyone, though. Some people just don't think before they cause problems for nothing. Anyway, hugs and love to you.

  20. I am an INTP. No matter how many times I take this test, it is always the same http://www.personalitypage.com/INTP.html
  21. I would keep them, if they don't take up much room. I bought these cool plastic boxes with green snap handles at Walmart. They will hold a lot of flat books and workbooks and stack on each other. Of course, I am kind of a hoarder when it comes to books and school related items.
  22. Thank you! It's the instructables site, but the other one is great, too.
  23. So sorry you were in so much pain. I don't take much medication, but I always get any pain med scripts filled just for situations like that. When you are in real pain, it's hard to get; when you are in little pain or no pain, it's different. My husband was in agony from kidney stones, but he only got Tylenol!
  24. I bought all the craft sticks, rubber bands and tubing for the projects on the great link someone posted...the one with the battling robots etc. made from simple stuff....now I cannot find the site. Can someone repost it, if you know what it is. Thanks in advance. I don't know why it does not show up in my bookmarks.
  25. Here are the items not allowed in our common space: dishes, textiles, shoes. I put two baskets near the living room for the textiles/shoes. No TV or computer time if these are in the living room. Since my husband claims none of the items are his (they are), I pick his up and dump them on his side of the bed as a reminder. This keeps a serious bunch of stuff out of the way. Unfortunately, I like clutter , so there is plenty of other stuff around that I should clean up!
