I am EO. I just want to jump in to say that what we believe cannot be summarized like this. A holistic picture of our Faith as a whole is necessary to really get the whole picture. Firstly, the Trinity is a mystery. These things are hard to understand. What I think is VITAL to understand about our theology is that Jesus, as God, sacrificed Himself on the cross for us. He wasn't left on the cross by the Father or sacrificed by the Father for redemption. Jesus is God, and would have had the power to stop the course of events at any point. The whole Garden of Gethsemane situation is more of a conflict between Jesus' human nature wanting to find another way to reopen the door for mankind, one with less pain and suffering. But in the end He submits His human will to His and His Father's Divine will. Ok, jumping back out now.

I would echo those who are saying that not every girl (or boy, for that matter!) is going to be comfortable talking with parents about these types of things. I was SUCH a private kid. I was like a sealed envelope. Nothing was crossing my lips, but I was reaaaalllllllly self-conscious about my legs and acne. I eventually started using my dad's razor. I knew enough to use shaving cream, so it went fine. I never ever talked with my mom about it. I also dreaded telling my mom when we ran out of period supplies.

I don't like raw onions. Mushrooms. American and all other fake cheese. I call it plastic cheese. I don't really care for parsley either. Fennel isn't my favorite. liver or tongue, yeuck.

I'm pretty young, so I remember this well. I remember getting in a big argument with my mom about it. I was shocked to discover that she felt unappreciated and like we just expected her to do everything. I was and am a very independent person, and if I don't ask for help that means I don't WANT help. Meanwhile, Mom was frustrated because I would never do anything without a request, and I was frustrated because I felt she was expecting me to read her mind. All I wanted was for her to communicate what she needed; I was happy to help! All this to say, I vote just ask them! Don't feel neglected because they don't think of it on their own.

I don't like going to the movies for entirely different reasons: the dark room with no windows makes me claustrophobic, I can't pause the movie if I want to get up, and it's super expensive. Worrying about getting shot is not something I'm going to waste my time on. I'm sure I'm more likely to be killed driving down the highway than I am watching a movie in a theatre.

I would never call late at night unless it was an emergency. But to me a text is like an email. It can be sent to the recipient to be read whenever they have the chance. Do Not Disturb settings can be set to exclude texts but allow voice calls. I have a landline so I just put my phone in airplane mode at night.

I can't stand Chipotle. Dry and tasteless. Give me one of those dingy hole-in-the wall Mexican places any day! The more hideous the paint color, the better the food, IME. I also have a personal vendetta against McDonalds and Taco Bell.
