Well, my grandma had a very similar pair and she wore them with a thin bobby sock.... She was in her 80's the last time I saw her wear them.

My OP was about normalizing morbid obesity and I compared it to normalizing anorexia (my reference to pro-ana movement) in the face of long-term health risks.
