  1. Unfortunately, DD wasn't able to handle any kind of co-op or drop off class until she was medicated. ETA: Or rather, people couldn't handle her, so we didn't do them.
  2. These. Are. Awesome. http://www.reuseit.com/adk-packworks-adk-packworksandtrade-packbasketandtrade-canvas-reusable-shopping-bag.htm
  3. My mother experienced that and she had uterine polyps. They were removed and she has had no issues since.
  4. DS wears a size 15 men's shoe, has giant bones and is fully grown at 6'1". We had thought he'd be more like 6'4"
  5. I think it's totally fine, and they will likely be excited to drive somewhere together.
  6. Family of 5. 3 vegan, 2 with SED/ARFID. There is not one meal everyone eats the same thing.
  7. Sometimes that's a sign of ADHD if there are other symptoms too. That being said, a gently worded "It's quiet time now. Please find something quiet to do while Mom has a break" is completely ok.
  8. I'm not sure why you felt the need to add that the person is an "Asian chick" but if the accident was both people's fault, 50/50 is a fair split. If not, your insurance should handle it for you.
  9. We always post "1st Day" pics...I think they're fun!
  10. It's really not. It's a health issue. Your priorities are clear though.
  11. LOL. Ice cream and "junk food" are not really good for anyone - and certainly not required to keep living.
  12. After reading this entire thread, I think that if her own son wanted it, yes she would.
  13. OR he can choose to eat the junk food you buy for your own son (nothing says love like junk food and high cholesterol!) and make his own food choices. At the end of the day, your SS needs to decide on his own if he wants to be healthy and lose weight or not.
  14. I think that if a parent isn't confident and/or doesn't want feel comfortable doing the intensive hands-on teaching in the early years, that the child truly might be better off in a b&m school or hiring a tutor. I wouldn't skip from Grade 1 to Grade 3 in any math program unless the child is excelling at math and has done a placement test.
  15. Insurance rates go up for just about everything. I would not use my insurance for this either.
  16. And for that same reason, he should have his A1C checked. Overweight can be made worse by insulin resistance, and being overweight can also cause Type 2 Diabetes.
  17. TERRIBLE! We ended up at a different airport, several hours away from our intended destination, in the middle of the night with zero attempts by Allegiant to help us get where we were supposed to be and pick up our rental car. We had to pay a $200 Uber to get to our hotel and another Uber to get to the correct airport the next day to pick up our rental car. This was in January.
  18. It's already been established that your son's weight is fine. There's no need for pushing anything with "a lot of fat and calories in it." If you want to make your son a grilled cheese, offer it to both boys and be done with it; you don't have to change your parenting style. Your stepson needs to decide to make the changes for himself - your pushing it won't help. I think joining a gym is a good idea.
  19. In my house, I'd be ok with DS hanging out in the downstairs common area with his friend. I'd also check in occasionally to see if they needed anything...but I wouldn't expect them to sit in the living room with me, DH, and the rest of the kids in the family.
