  1. There's more than one version of this, but I like this one.
  2. "How do you know when fish has gone bad? What? Does it start smelling good?"
  3. My first thought was "passive aggressive" but then Corraleno rocked my world! Also, the truth Beth S shared is spot on. 👏
  4. Surprised but not mad it was that many years. Yes, Texan, I believe he has at least one trial in CA to face next.
  5. Govt - very similar if not identical to BookWormTo2 Math -Much like cbollin: After doing Saxon math (my dc hated it but it sure was good to them!) mine passed a few math CLEPs. Yeah, some was overkill, but we used it to fortify mommy grades and to go towards whatever college reqs might be needed.
  6. I like the looks of this set of 3.
  7. This reminds me of the bet between Phoebe and Joey on Friends. LOL. [Warning: This clip mentions Santa's existence, in case you're around little ears.]
  8. Thank you for this thread and these links. I don't do keto, but I'm glad so many keto things are available now. I aim for low carb and getting Paleo and Keto friendly foods help.
  9. Nope. Never sneaked out, never hid anything (also never have done drugs), HOWEVER, I have, on more than one occasion while my dc were still at home, gone to Mickey D's and gotten fries which I ate while my dc were at a drop off activity. Amazingly, I used tactics that drinkers and smokers use to get rid of all evidence - including the smell of those fries from my car and my breath - before picking up said children. I am proud to say that I was 100% successful. 👏👏👏 Angie takes a bow.
  10. Is this on Netflix? I've seen this show suggested here before.
  11. I watch some of the same shows you're watching now, and the rest interest me, lol. DH and I have been watching Speechless (sit com, 3 seasons) on Hulu and we're going through Leverage (5 seasons on Vudu and Pluto, currently free w/ ads on both, but the ads are less annoying and better spaced on Vudu.) What I like about Leverage is the caper feel from the Ocean's movies, and also like those movies, it's unrealistic, but fun. What I don't like is the violence. Elliott "The Hitter" is cute, but I get tired of his beat up 10 armed men w/ just his hands and feet scenes. If you're OK w/ cheering for criminals, then you can FF through the fight scenes or go reboot the laundry. Just don't miss the jabs between the characters, especially between Elliott and Hardison.
  12. I am impressed! Being the relative of a music educator, I am highly impressed! Well done!!!👏
  13. I liked Yesterday (summer of 2019).I cringed when I saw the bike accident depicted in the trailer below, but other than that, no illness or injury. Trailer [youtube.com] Also, DH and I are watching Leverage free w/ ads on the Vudu channel on our Roku. I saw the ad that shows how to block out violence on Vudu along w/ other settings. It's a nice option you might want to explore if you have a Roku.
  14. It's time for my annual declaration that I love Lori D.! 😍
  15. Good to know it turned out. I hear you on the plastic. One of many reasons to make my own yogurt! So frustrating. I have completely lost my mojo!
  16. You are getting great advice here. Perhaps future/other readers of this thread will benefit more from my post than you will, OP. Sorry, but I want to add my thoughts. It was a LOT of extra work but it was helpful for my dc who got the honors degree. This child had a demanding major w/ or w/o the honors program (requiring well >120 credit hours). Here were the benefits: more money given by the school for being an honors student small classes with discussions w/ prof and other students rapport and relationships w/ profs built required honors thesis (great prep for grad school thesis) early registration I'm sure there were drawbacks, but the benefits outweighed them. It was the right decision for that child at that school at that time. Full disclosure: this child did continue to grad school and succeeded there too. Oh, that I could take any credit for any of that child's success, but, alas, I can not.
  17. It sure works here! ❤️
  18. Another vote for elderberry for both before and during. We have moved through each bout of flu in half the time as others who were exposed when we were and who didn't take elderberry.
  19. I'm glad things improved and that you have a plan for the evening. Here is my late response: SWB's words (paraphrased here): Sandwich, nap, shower, exercise. Apply one or more for the child (or parent) as needed. For me: an iced mocha drink is my recent guilty pleasure. I make my own, so it's super cheap. For the family: a dance party using a bluetooth speaker and a cheap disco light with good music can do wonders, especially while doing chores. 😉
  20. Link, please? I didn't know such a thing existed!
