  1. Please come to my house and teach me how to make yogurt in my IP. I can;t even seem to make it on the stove top anymore. The last few times I made it in my slow cooker were fails too. Pretty please???
  2. Great idea and well done!
  3. I love my Loopy! (Not an affiliate link)I don't have the Loopy Max, but wish I'd gotten that. We get screen protectors from Amazon and change them out as needed. I *never* drop my phone if a finger is the Loopy's loop, but I *often* drop my phone from my night stand. *Heavy sigh* My iPhone's screen has never cracked despite my being a klutz. Full disclosure: I had a glow-in-the-dark loop break. I took pix and emailed the company w/ my order #. They wrote back saying they'd never seen that happen and then promptly mailed me a new one. I've had no issues w/ the replacement (also G-I-T-D).
  4. *Whispering this to Alicia so no one else hears* I'm not sure the first link in your signature is what you want it to be. 😉
  5. Thank you! My personal fave is about Joaquin Phoenix's cursing being censored.
  6. Hit Quote instead of Edit. Dummy!
  7. Dh says I can make the most uncomfortable situation better by saying something that puts everyone (or more accurately, the person who's hurting the most) at ease. Ironic, since my mouth gets me into so much trouble and causes some uncomfortable situations. I guess it's because I know what people are thinking and just say it. The most helpful manifestation of this "gift" comes out in situations of pain and suffering, namely grief. Even an aunt told me I made her and her adult ds more comfortable at the side of my mother's deathbed. I took offense to that one, b/c I was there to make sure my mother was comfortable, not anyone else. I wasn't hostess to her death. I was losing my mother. By any means, I guess. Other examples include friends and relatives after surgery (DH always says I say the right thing) and when we bought a used car from a woman whose Dh had just died. It was his car. She was so upset having to sell it. I said one thing right off and she just hugged me and cried and told me I'd just said what she was thinking but didn't want to say. My intuition is off the charts. I always knew in high school and college when a friend liked someone and still do though my social circle is much smaller these days. It's always SO obvious to me, when no one else can see it. Also I have always just known when people at work are having marital problems. And I mean bosses, who would never discuss such personal matters with me, and I don't just mean I noticed if a wedding band was missing. Odd. And useless!
  8. Another happy Vitamix owner here. We got our refurbished Vitamix (still $$$) from the company > 6 years ago and have zero problems with it. I think the warranty was for 5 years on it? I use that thing at least twice a day. Costco has them often, and not just when a rep is there to demo it. If you buy directly from them, be sure to use Rakuten/formery ebates <--- affiliate link (is that allowed?). Right now they offer 5% cash back at Vitamix.
  9. Let us know how you like it! Dh can't wait until our DW dies so we can get a quieter one. Ours is a Kitchen Aid and is going strong. I just try to tun run it when he's not around. There are much quieter ones available now.
  10. So glad you have found any relief at all! Here is where I first I heard about Charlotte's Web.
  11. I don't know who I want him with. Why didn't he check his pulse w/ Carly? Or was there no need. He already knew it didn't accelerate? I had to watch that woman's surgery through two open hands. This season has been the funniest one so far, but the last few w/ Sean's father and now the Carly/Leah thing, I'm not enjoying it as much.
  12. Echoing many answers here, but Stasher bags (sandwiches, snacks) Stainless steel straws at home Set of S/S utensils (3 main ones + chop sticks & straw) to use in public Cloth bags Mesh bags for produce Dropps DW and laundry pods HumanKind deodorant and mouthwash Stainless (or glass) water bottles Yeti knock off travel mugs Microfiber makeup remover cloths I've seen a woman (online not IRL) take glass containers to the grocery store to get meat from the butcher. The butcher zeroes out the scale and puts the price tag right on the glass container. Love this idea, but I've never done it. One day. Glass containers for leftovers Canning jars for storage (and drinking glasses)
  13. Clirty = between clean and dirty. We recently put an over-the-door rack w/ 12 pegs (6 above 6) on the bathroom door. "Clirty" clothes go there. We have something like what's pictured here.
  14. I spent no less than 90 minutes last night pouring over old threads here about good planners and then watching reviews on YT. Following!
  15. Clothesline and drying racks? Maybe even a clothesline in your basement and/or attic? Word has it that even Martha Stewart doesn't use a dryer for clothes. Not sure about towels and sheets. I helped a friend w/ laundry who has top of the line front loading washer and dryer. (My Fisher-Paykel dryer is a top loader! I know!!!), and all I know is that both lied. The washer promised a time for that cycle, but always took longer by 2-3 minutes. And the dryer? I would set it for a time but it always stopped well before then, and the clothes were never all the way dried. So frustrating!
  16. Congratulations! What a way to end this year and start the new one! 👏 Now, when is his Eagle Scout ceremony? (Or would you like 15 minutes to just enjoy this?)
  17. Back in the BC days (before children) DH and I would watch a trilogy over NYE and NYD. We have done it a few times w/ the kids too. Fun.
  18. Just said a prayer that things go well! I am sure they will. 👍
  19. Mine is very basic too. Just Off, Warm, Low, High. I use a plug-in timer like this.
  20. I use Rakuten (formerly ebates too). If anyone wants my referral code, you can PM me too. I watch to make sure the shopping trips are enacted, and make sure I get credited. No issues here. Ibotta is more of a pain for me, but I try to use it. I lost some money due to inactivity.
  21. It looks like you can watch my gem on Amazon Prime free w/ ads. I had digital credits and it was on sale a while back, so I bought it. For a while it was free on the Roku Channel too. What We Did on Our Holiday cracks my family up. We all have very different tastes when it comes to movies, but we find new lines each viewing (and there have been many viewings!) and quote it often. "Mickey, stop playing chip Jenga." It is about a dying parent. It stars David Tennant and Rosamund Pike and the three children were perfectly cast. It also has some faves from Doc Martin and Bridget Jones.
