    Hi Jessica, I can't tell you anything about this particular book, but I just wanted to let you know that I used the Apologia Botany book a few years ago and I really like it. My daughter (and I) learned a lot and enjoyed the study. :)

    Yes. My mom had one about a week ago. Of course, she did not go to the ER like she should have. She waited and saw her doctor a few days later. And I'm thousands of miles away. :(

    I don't think you're old-fashioned at all! That kind of speech is unacceptable in our house as well. What kills me is hearing other parents use foul language while speaking to their kids. I wouldn't let my dc hang out on that board either. And my answer to your question would be "never". :)

    Thanks everyone! I called my mom and told her. At first she was a little confused, but as I read all of the posts to her, she realized it is indeed spam. I could hear the relief in her voice. I'm sending her flowers tomorrow! I just can't tell you how much I appreciate you guys. :grouphug:

    Jami, that is exactly what I was thinking! My mom is almost 70 and still dealing with the kind of junk we all dealt with when we were in jr. high. It felt a little odd telling her, "Mom, you know that people who do this sort of thing must be feel really insecure about themselves." Isn't that what our moms told us? It makes me sad (and angry).
