  1. AoPS sounds like it would be a very good fit.:001_smile: they just came out with a Prealgebra book.
  2. That wasn't the exact example, just saying I have seen it a couple of times in the Intermediate Algebra. I think one time was graphing and asymptotes and an approximation was what was wanted.
  3. I haven't seen anything in Intro to Algebra or Intermediate Algebra except for a couple mentions on tedious arithmetic problems that the calculator can be used (like 2^(200), that sort of thing).
  4. Thank you. I knew I had seen it somewhere, but I couldn't find it on their website. I didn't even think to look in the book.
  5. To th bolded; is this on their website or something you know from looking at other Algebra 2 scope and sequences?
  6. The Principles of Riding is a really good handbook for dressage, but might be a little tricky to understand at first. Cross-Train Your Horse and Lessons with Lendon are both good dressage books that are a bit more beginner friendly. For jumping Hunter Seat Equitation by George Morris is very good. Oh, and the 101 xxxxx Exercises books are very good too. Also, I agree that British horse magazines are great.:001_smile:
  7. The ACT can be taken without writing; the SAT cannot.:001_smile:
  8. Well, many people (me included) feel that the husband should not be the leader of the household, but that wife and husband should be equal partners, so I'm not sure if that would affect people's feelings or not.
  9. 8/7 or 7/6? I have heard that averaging 80%+ on 8/7 tests means the kchild is ready to move on to Algebra 1. However, I think skipping to Algebra 1 from 7/6 would be difficult.
  10. Awesome! I'm almost Level 5. I don't know what my title will be, though.
  11. Blame MarianinNOVA and Parrothead. Oh, and Mrs Mungo. Here's a thread that will explain the polls.
  12. It makes the most sense out of the options, but I think she's really having a pencil. After all, her name is Pencil Pusher.
