  1. Congratulations! How sweet of your husband. Enjoy your precious bundle!
  2. Praying for you and your family. I'm glad you posted...I've been thinking about you. Keep us posted.
  3. Cool! She's coming to Tampa on September 8th...my 15 ds is upset that he has cross country practice and won't be able to go. I think I may head over with my younger two...probably won't get to shake her hand, though! I'm glad you had a great time and that there was an enthusiastic crowd. My ds 15 also wants to help work on the campaign now...I am ready to volunteer now, too! Great story! I hope you were able to get some pictures!
  4. As a fellow Floridian (Clearwater) and the mother of a 15 ds (16 in January)...have you checked out insurance rates? I am amazed at how HIGH they are...even if there are only 2 cars, 3 cars is insane in our area! We are going to require our son to pay his insurance and a good portion of his car, however, we are willing to help him out with part of the insurance until he gets a job because he will be eliminating a lot of "my" traveling. We (dh, myself, and ds) are planning on sharing 2 cars for a while, as I only have definite plans on Wednesdays. Looking back, I had to buy my first car and pay for my insurance...and I didn't get a car until my senior year. My friends were given new cars and I drove a 1965 Plymouth Valiant (station wagon...low miles, little old lady drove it...excellent shape...but still!). I survived! Good luck with your decision!
  5. I agree. I want to make my own decisions of how to spend my money and live my life.
  6. What a race! I can't believe he came from 7th place to win it....what fun to watch...and watch....and watch! I'm glad they didn't have any technical difficulties!
  7. I use mvelopes (mvelopes.com). I enter my budget in it and when things come out of my bank, it automatically pulls them into "mvelopes". I then assign them to an "envelope" or match them to manual entries I have already made. It only takes me about 2-3 minutes a day. At the end of the month, I just reconcile it online...takes 5-10 minutes. I love it! I love it especially because I can see my budget "live"...not after the fact.
  8. We're starting back on August 20th...with a light load...full load on the 25th. I have REALLY enjoyed my summer!
  9. Good for you! You obviously have a heart for this little boy...he is lucky to have you in his life. Happy homeschooling!
  10. Sending prayers from Florida...I know how the "waiting" can be! (And also know how bad loss of power can be!)
  11. Thanks. I tried the setup option and it didn't have anything. I don't have it connected to s-video....and I re-checked the other inputs/outputs. Thanks so much for the link. I had tried searching online and could only find where people would ask the same question as I....and they never got any responses. (Probably not a good sign for my DVD player!!!) Thanks. I'll try calling the 800 number tomorrow.
  12. I have checked all the cables and they are secure. Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks for any help you can give. :001_smile:
  13. I have the one from Sonlight and I have been very pleased with it. It's high quality at an affordable price.
  14. We do and I have LOVED it this year. I was going to do some little projects, but then decided I was enjoying being a mom/person too much to do them!
  15. Sounds like you're off to a good start! I always like to work hard in the fall, too...it makes spring easier! Good luck with your schooling and new baby.
  16. My sister and I are 2 years and two days apart. My middle and youngest both had the same due dates...but the middle one came 2 weeks early and the youngest 3 1/2....so now their birthdays are 10 days apart. (I was just thankful they came early!!!)
  17. The sandwich is a big hit at our house also. We're also big fans of the spaghetti casserole. Yum...I'm getting hungry!
