  1. It was on here after the Downton Abbey reruns. The book is really good.
  2. :grouphug: I'm sorry sorry, you're going through this, but please talk to professional as soon as possible. :grouphug:
  3. I've recently purchased a Breadman, from Amazon for a great price. It has a 1, 1 1/2, or 2lb loaf options and it is a regular loaf baker. We've been very happy so far, and I'll admit I wasn't planning to use the bake option, but it works and cooks very evenly.
  4. It would bother me...and your sister asking was (shaking my head) crazy...She had the perfect opportunity to tell her dd not to go into your stuff; it was not a get the shopping info moment. I'd leave a note, but move the stuff and probably talk to sister or niece. You can be gentle, and it would be a kindness in the long run to learn to ask before taking and not to rifle through personal items.
  5. Wow, that is just beyond rude and disrespectful..
  6. Yes, unless it was a service dog it would bother me. I have people in my family who are asthma - allergic to dogs and cats. Fluffy near means an inhaler or a trip to the ER.
  7. Oh, I'm almost happy to hear that, because... I thought it was just me.
  8. Donate before the new year and get a Receipt , and write it off your taxes.
  9. Nodding my head in agreement with Jean. :grouphug:
  10. WE often use two devices and now I wonder if we could use three? It doesn't take time to buffer except to load at the beginning.
  11. I haven't personally separated or divorced, but both of my sisters have. 1. Talk to a friend. 2. Get an attorney.
  12. Oh, dear or dear, I do hope that is some kind of herbal bath. The comments were pretty funny though.
  13. I think shopping early would be fine. Toy's Rus is on-line. You might call the store and see what their exchange policy is. I don't know of any retailer that takes items they know aren't theirs.
  14. Op, your children are pretty young... I think video games are like anything in life. Moderation is the key; for some people it's a problem and for others it's not. My dd could care less about video games, my ds loves them.
  15. People are strange...kwim? I'd be tempted to re-gift it back to them for a laugh and see what happens.
  16. I missed the other thread, but your Bingo night sounds like fun.
  17. Respond with a smile and laughter. "Well, aren't you nosy." "Are you saying...I look fat." "MYOB...That's between us." "Why, are you trying to get rid of one?" "Pardon me?" This one repeated over and over will shut most any pushy-loud-mouth.
  18. "Thank you." This is how I feel gifts should be responded to. Then do what ever you want to do with them. I agree, it's easier to dump the junk than to deal with hurt feelings in the family.
  19. I hope people drop him like the creep he seems to be. The ruling, sadly...not much surprises me here.
  20. :grouphug: Would you be able to sew a quick rag-doll with yarn hair? They're cuddly, and pretty easy to make; you might enjoy making one together.
  21. Toddler proof as possible...I haven't had little ones for years, but I want overnight visitors to feel welcome. Frankly, I want to relax and enjoy visiting. Toddlers get into everything and depending on the parents, you just never know.
  22. I'd try to keep celebrations as simple and short as possible. (kiss) It sounds hard on everyone. He has limitations and friends and family have expectations that he simply may not be able to meet.
