  1. Are you drinking enough? Thirst is often confused with hunger.
  2. Your body will adjust over time. :grouphug: I changed my entire diet and it took a while for me to adjust, but now I would be stuffed eating that much. Someone mentioned eating until I was 75% full vs. 100%; it was crazy sounding to me, but got me over the hill.
  3. Re-fi's are a hassle. I hope you get a signature day soon.
  4. Personally, I believe public, private, or home school is for educating thier minds.
  5. Old people can be crazy-stubborn and impossible to understand. kiwm?
  6. I wouldn't use one, they draw more attention than a nursing shirt. If a nursing mom wants to use one, that's fine with me. The name H-hider rubs me the wrong way for some reason. I'd sew one before I'd buy one.
  7. :iagree: I feel the mom owes the hostess an apology and you...a shoe cleaning and an apology. She would def. be on my list and not invited to future gatherings. This would be based on her parenting choice of ignoring her child's condition. I feel so bad for the little kid. I
  8. Oh, I am right there with you. Gag:tongue_smilie: and pity for that poor kid.
  9. It was seven months from engagement to wedding day.
  10. Same here. I miss cleaning with my mom and sisters. We could clean a place top to bottom in no time...and it was enjoyable.
  11. I like to go to bed earlier to read, relax and unwind before going to sleep. When I was young, I didn't look forward to bed like I do now.
  12. Children at that age would benefit from a parent in there directing, teaching, modeling for them how to clean up the room. Kids are different and for some cleaning comes naturally, but for others it must be taught.
  13. I would be counting away. Enjoy the cutie-pie!
  14. :grouphug:I wish you all a wonderful first day, but by that I mean a good work day. Expectations of rainbows and ponies can trip many of us up on our quest for perfect. I've learned (the hard way as many others have) that it is the work, that works. Do the lessons, day after day, lesson after lesson...wash, rince and repeat. It may help to know your curriculum triggers...Things like, stress, tears, avoiding lessons, winter blues can prompt many homeschooling moms to try to fix it by changing the curriculum. In reality slowing down, a break, a day at the park, working in markers or a dry erase board, taking time to clean the house etc. will get many a student & stress out mom over the bump. We started last week, and even after 11 years, I was nervous and wishing for another day of summer break.
  15. No, work is done downstairs. They do a lot of reading in their rooms, but not the actual work. Out of sight...out of mind...kwim?:tongue_smilie:
  16. We've lived here less than 10 years and are on our 4th bed. I wish we had kept our old, old one. Now, they just seem built to sag. Our current very expensive one, is less than a year old. It was uber wonderful for about 6 months, but I can tell it's going to be like the others.
  17. Gag, spit, sputter...that is just gross.
