  1. I notice a significant increase in my anxiety level when I am low in Vit D. I am currently taking a Thorne D3/K2 supplement and feel great.
  2. One time two of my kids filled their free water cups at Chipotle with lemonade. I didn't know about it until we got back to the car. But we tromped back into the store and paid for the lemonade and then they paid me back with their own money when we got home. I think that made an impression and I don't think they will ever do it again!
  3. Same with my DD. Although we also eat fermented foods regularly so she has lots of good bacteria in her system. I think that helped her not have any adverse reactions to the doxy. She also took some quality probiotics and Florastor.
  4. Wonderful news! Congrats to your DD! (How can we contact Mrs. Denne? My oldest DS is interested in Russian. He has done some Duolingo, Pimsleur, and a few other things but needs more guidance).
  5. Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV has an excellent music department and music education major. And Shepherd is very generous with music and merit scholarships. It is not a very selective school as far as overall admission goes, but many of their programs are very good - music, education, nursing, and19th Century American History are a few. Oh, and Shepherd does have some Core requirements. (I graduated from Shepherd with a BA in Music Education and taught elementary and middle school band before having kids).
  6. My holistic doctor says that almost everyone needs magnesium supplementation because our soil is so depleted. She recommends Magnesium glycinate - it doesn't give you loose bowels.
  7. share transcript

  8. When I see one of those roadside memorials, I usually make the sign of the cross and say a quick prayer for the soul of the person that died.
  9. Get some Floraster to prevent negative side-effects of the ABX. PM me if you need anything since I'm closeby. We can bring you some homemade kombucha - lots of good probiotics.
  10. I love Adalia. Sophia is a nice name but too common.
  11. Could you share the link to this activity, pretty please?
  12. Using conscious instead of conscience. As in, "It bothered my conscious." Drives me batty.
  13. Sonlight Science uses a lot of Usborne books and also has a DVD with all the "experiments". For age 6, I'd look at Science B. It has a nice variety of topics.
  14. I have the oddest cat. He needs to take a daily pill for "cat anxiety." All I have to do is put a dab of butter or cat lax on it and he licks it right up.
  15. That food made you feel better makes me think you were having symptoms of low blood sugar.
  16. This one: http://harmonyfinearts.org/2010/07/watercolor-painting-collage/
  17. How devastating! - heartfelt prayers for you and your family.
  18. Since you already have TT, why not have him try a few lessons and see what he thinks? My history loving DS,who is almost 13, is primarily using TT. He retains the information well and doesn't complain about watching the lectures and/or doing the work. He will not be going into a STEM related field, so for him TT is definitely enough. He will do Pre-Calculus in 11th grade and hopefully take AP Statistics or Statistics at the local CC in 12th grade. He is motivated to do this and "be done with math."
  19. My DS, almost 14, is using Duolingo and Pimsleur.
  20. Oh, don't get me started! I have had The Caterpillar, Work, and Hearts Like Doors stuck in my head for the past two weeks.
